I get the point of Raynor - she’s the modern Prescott, the “Everyman”, the one who the trad Labour voters might identify with, with the vaping, clubbing and tax evasion.

But as a leader on the world stage? Have we learnt nothing from Boris? Having a deeply unserious leader is surely not what the U.K. needs now, in this time of global turmoil?

Honestly if she becomes leader the U.K. will be an absolute laughing stock.

The very idea that I would dislike her because she’s a woman is laughable. Women can’t be some untouchable class, where any criticism is “sexism”. Raynor is unsuitable firstly because of her inability to follow simple tax rules. Secondly because she simply does not have the education or intelligence to steer the U.K. through these times. She is lightweight and deeply unserious.

I'm sure the Labour Party have a few intelligent, serious potential leaders. Emily Thornberry springs to mind, as does Shabana Mahmood. Wes Streeting as well.

Not sure, he probably has support but he’s closer to the Mandelson affair than Rayner is perceived to be.

And - they couldn’t win an election with her leading. She’s not popular.

It’s not because she’s a Northerner, working class or a woman for god’s sake! How ridiculous! None of those things matter at all to decent people. What matters is honesty, integrity and thoughtfulness; unfortunately Angela Rayner doesn’t appear to have much of those essential qualities.

She is just not competent nor polished enough. It's a reality that to be a leader in the world stage you need a certain finesse, a certain level of education, be eloquent and polished. A certain level of gravitas. Put her up against almost any one of our European neighbours leaders, or members of the G7, NATO, who all speak well, speak several languages, dress well, are well educated, well travelled etc etc. She will be a shambles. Rightly or wrongly she will not stand up to International scrutiny. Jezza falls into the same category.

More the tax evasion I think. It’s not a good look.
