Just for fun!
One thing that I feel just makes me superior than most is that I am a twin mum. Can’t really explain it except that I feel like superwoman for growing 2 babies myself at once

one thing that will make me think you are cooler than most of if you’re left handed, no idea why, I just know I always wanted to be left handed when I was a kid😂

I wouldn't say this is cooler but I definitely have something different to the vast majority . I have Aphantasia which means i cannot make mental images in my mind.
I was absolutely gobsmacked when I found out nearly everyone can do this!!

changedusernameforthis1 · 30/12/2025 12:29

I'm left handed. Although I hated it when I was younger due to teasing.

A bit dark, but I survived attempted murder when I was 23. Came out completely unharmed, partly due to quick thinking and partly due to the attacker being rather thick.
There are days when I look back and feel the fear all over again, but also days where I look back and feel so proud of myself for that night.

I do this too, especially the days of the week and months. December is black and January is light green for example.

Also a couple more:

I'm really good at undoing knots. I have long thin fingers and slightly long but weak bendy nails, I'm sure it's that combo.

I've also got really low blood pressure and I'm oddly proud of it. Except when I was giving birth and the alarm/monitor thing kept going off "because it thinks you are half dead" as the midwife cheerfully announced.

I know diddly squat about the colour grapheme subject. When you meet others who have this do you like to compare the colours you see for the same words ? Have you found similarities?

I discovered literally a week ago that the 3rd baby I thought I was carrying is actually twins.

I DEFINITELY am not feeling superior right now lol

Barney16 · 30/12/2025 12:39

I find things. If anyone ever looses things I can find them. I'm also very good at cleaning 🥺

LaLaBall · 30/12/2025 12:41

I gave birth without pain relief after an induction. I feel like superwoman every single day knowing I put mind over matter to get through that.

I speak Chinese

Justbreathagain · 30/12/2025 00:04

I always know what time it is, without checking a watch or clock. I always estimate it within 10 mins. It's weird

Are you Jack Reacher or his sister?

usedtobeaylis · 30/12/2025 12:43

I just want to affirm to all the lefties that you are indeed very very cool.

TheeNotoriousPIG · 30/12/2025 12:44

I have amazing eyebrows, which require no maintenance whatsoever, and apparently, they look very impressive with the "single eyebrow raise"...

I also like my cheekbones, and as I've told a kicking cow at work (I milk them), I would appreciate it if my cheekbones remained where they were, thank-you very much!

ZippyGeorgeandBungle2 · 30/12/2025 12:44

I’m ORh- blood group. I think that’s pretty cool. Nobody else in my family has inherited both the recessive genes.
Ive also got extremely long eyelashes which people always comment on/ask if they’re false.
i also gave birth, twice, without any pain relief which is my proudest achievement

Summergarden · 30/12/2025 12:45

What a brilliant thread, it’s been absolutely fascinating to read through all of these!

Mine is that I’m a bit like Teflon woman when it comes to avoiding viruses. My DCs all caught Covid twice (back when we had to test), toddler DC projectile vomited all over me including my face when she had it but despite continually testing I never caught it from them. I haven’t vomited at all for any reason since February 2021 either, not had diarrhoea. When everyone else is coughing and spluttering around me with colds I virtually never catch them in turn. No idea why as I wouldn’t say I’m particularly healthy and fit.

Not to say that I’ve never had any health issues but I do seem to have a a weird resistance to germs! Am touching wood now though so as not to jinx things…

Thortour · 30/12/2025 12:47

I like how lovely these posts are.
Some of you seem borderline super heroes!

The person that wrote the song is a friend. They told me but it was very obvious anyway when I heard it as it refers to a specific situation.

You were at a party. Had you walked onto the yacht?

I'm not cool, but competitive. Like to have the last word.
Will stop now.

ilovesushi · 30/12/2025 12:51

I thought of another one. I am pretty accurate at knowing where north is at any given time or place. When I step off an aeroplane I have a day or so of feeling like I've lost my bearings then I kind of recalibrate.

RampantIvy · 30/12/2025 12:54

I have dark eyebrows and longish dark eyelashes and don't need to wear eye make up (which is just as well as I can't wear it anyway).

Unicornsatonalilo · 30/12/2025 12:54

I've been reading this thread and read a few out to dp

My super cool skill?

I can rap the song 'the bart-man' by Bart Simpson off the top of my head

It's never come in handy but I'm proud of my party trick

I've also given birth in 34 minutes with no pain relief (mainly because there wasn't time)

I have perfect pitch, tune instruments by ear and can remember tunes from 40+ years ago.

Same.
Perfect pitch, can tune instruments by ear, can learn a song on any instrument if I’m given time and peace and quiet to do so just by listening to it.
Can’t read music but being able to play by ear means I’m a multi instrumentalist.

It has got me nowhere in life as I’m too shy to perform in public, but I love my musical creativity nonetheless.

And I’ve given birth to ten children. All but three were 9lb+, no pain relief and most were inductions.
I retreat inwards and breathe through the most intense pain with superhuman mind over matter because the thought of panicking and losing control scares me more. As does the thought of a massive epidural needle in my back.

Saying that, Gallstones have me wishing for death, but I can cope. I am too scared to have surgery to remove them for now.

Maddy70 · 30/12/2025 12:56

I have worked in several countries around the world. In my head that makes me chic ;)

Pyjamatimenow · 30/12/2025 13:00

I’ve given birth twice without pain relief of any kind and one of those was an induction on a drip. Never really thought of it as super until I read this thread though so I’ll throw it in.
I also survived a home invasion by 6 men when I was 12 and saved my baby sister and brother by climbing over a fence

IMTHECRAZYOLDLADY · 30/12/2025 13:00

I was when young, an accomplished athlete, running at national level. Now I hobble more then run.
I am however a single parent, having left an abusive relationship) to three sons with autism, eldest Ds almost got expelled from secondary school, I fought the local authority for his EHCP and he now has a first in maths from Warwick - I know it’s his work and not mine but I feel that I saved him. (Shouldn’t have had to fight so hard though, it involved a legal case)

I can learn different instruments very quickly and master new song’s incredibly fast. People are stunned!

Do you play professionally? If not, why not?

Juliancantcope · 30/12/2025 13:02

I have a talent for making up silly songs … most of them are a bit dirty!

OttersMayHaveShifted · 30/12/2025 13:04

I speak four languages and am very good at spelling and grammar.

usedtobeaylis · 30/12/2025 13:04

It would be interesting to know who is the coolest person people know and why they think they're cool, and how it matches up with responses here!

RampantIvy · 30/12/2025 13:05

I am a confident driver and am happy to navigate anywhere I am unfamilier with as long as I can use google maps/Waze. I'm not afraid of motorway driving either.
