What’s for Christmas Eve dinner?

I just got back with a Camembert to bake and a smorgasbord of party nibbles. Many pigs in blankets! All the cheeses and hams. Already have enough booze to open a bar.

my usual healthy diet is having a few days off…

Curious to know what everyone else is having?

Merry Christmas and hope you all have a great one 🎄🎄

This sounds amazing!

I am glad not to be hosting this year or I’d probably be scarfing a bowl of cereal!

Steak, chips and salad with lots of wine!

ShanghaiDiva · 24/12/2025 17:00

Salmon fillets in a cream sauce.

TinselTitts · 24/12/2025 17:01

A takeaway meze from the wonderful local Turkish restaurant.

It's quite expensive so we only ever really get it on Christmas Eve or birthdays.

I can't wait!

Salt and chilli pork belly with mash and sprouting broccoli

Sittingonthefence83 · 24/12/2025 17:03

Homemade broccoli and Stilton soup and a roast chicken with warm baguettes

Chateaudiaries · 24/12/2025 17:04

Potato gratin which I made this morning, roast salmon and peas.

Plus some rose wine.

Had some snacks bits earlier.

I’m going to listen to Kings choir now and leave dh and my dad watching the darts😅

Pasta with spicy sausage sauce. A family tradition.

IndigoIsMyFavouriteColour · 24/12/2025 17:06

Chinese takeaway from our favourite place

Spangers · 24/12/2025 17:07

Macaroni cheese with pigs in blanket, possibly garlic bread and broccoli.

FenceBooksCycle · 24/12/2025 17:08

A few bits and bobs from the M&S celebratory food range which I ordered because they look good but which I wouldn't be able to tessalate into the oven tomorrow. With broccoli.

AllTheOtherCats · 24/12/2025 17:08

Chip-shop chips and mushy peas with loads of salt and vinegar plus a cod to share for the kitties. Simple. Perfect 👌🏼 🎄😺

SmoothOperatorCarlosSainz · 24/12/2025 17:10

Indian 😻

WillowIvy · 24/12/2025 17:11

Fresh lobster, langoustines, crab, mussels, clams and scallops with crusty bread. We have cocktail sauce, garlic aioli, melted butter and mignonette sauce to go with it.

AintNoStroppinessNowHesInTheBoot · 24/12/2025 17:13

Pizza

Makingpeace · 24/12/2025 17:15

Pizza! A decent one not the big standard usual one. 👌

Happy Christmas 🎄

A Chinese takeaway, like a lot of secular Jews on xmas eve/xmas day.

13RidgmontRoad · 24/12/2025 17:16

Followed by a Yule log with squirty cream.

BrunchBarBandit · 24/12/2025 17:17

Slow cooked ham, root vegetable gratin, potato wedges, corn on the cob, salad and crusty bread.

I’m pottering round the kitchen v happily drinking mulled wine putting this together while extended (visiting) family play board games in the living room. We dank a load of wine last night though so I think we’ll have less of a party vibe this evening 😌

Merry Christmas!
