@JumpingJiminy we can only hope!

@GarliceGran There have also been rumours about his behaviour so I imagine he will stay as quiet as possible lest it give anyone ideas.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 19/12/2025 18:25

Never read his books or been a fan of his . He has dead littke shark eyes .

He was often very predatory to male contestants on BGT.
If that was a male judge making those comments to a female , or even one of the female judges to a young male contestant it would be an outrage .
But David Walliams sliming across the table ? Eurgh , not acceptable .

He's absolutely not gay. He's a misogynist.

The two things are not mutually exclusive.

There is a huge seam of misogyny in male gay culture, which radical feminists were just beginning to explore when AIDS hit and they dropped everything and stood in solidarity with their gay Brothers and by the time the AIDS crisis had passed, there were other pressing matters to attend to and that very in-depth and wide conversation has never really happened.

But anyway I think he's bisexual. And also a misogynist.

I’ve never heard a single positive word about him or his books, who is buying them?

I have often wondered this myself! I literally do not understand how he has become so famous - he was a glorified panto actor in Little Britain, then somehow his shitty ghostwritten booked ended up everywhere.

I have never met anyone who says their kids like them, so who is actually buying them?

CalzoneOnLegs · 19/12/2025 18:28

Coffeeishot · 19/12/2025 18:23

He never does,

Quite rightly I imagine he’d want to distance himself from it

EchoesOfOurDreams · 19/12/2025 18:12

I still can't get over the rumour about him and his sister.

Apparently he lost his virginity to his own sister and he wrote about this in his autobiography as a sort of amusing anecdote. He was allegedly baffled that the publishers insisted on removing it before it went to print.

I don't know how true that is but that rumour is well known in the publishing world apparently.

I was waiting to see if anyone mentioned this!

AhBiscuits · 19/12/2025 18:32

I'm surprised that it wasn't because his books are absolute dross.

Tootiredforthis23 · 19/12/2025 18:32

He’s always been creepy, hiding in plain sight and making it all seem like a joke.

I’ve never let my DC read his books and the headteacher at their primary removed all his books from their library a few years ago due to the racism in one of them.

CalzoneOnLegs · 19/12/2025 18:35

JoshLymanSwagger · 19/12/2025 18:08

Well done BBC...again 🤦🏻‍♀️

That’s what they do, employ a disproportionate amount of creeps, they are a disgusting organisation yet the gullible/stupid public happily throw billions at them annually

harlemshake · 19/12/2025 18:36

it saddens me when the issue only comes about when it's against women because this fool has done this to men even on live tv for yeaaaars

Justonemorecoffeeplease · 19/12/2025 18:36

Good. He’s a creep and the books are utterly derivative shite. All share the same plot and have been churned out. I used to work in Children’s Publishing - not for Harper Collins - and there were so many talented authors and publishers who would have loved to have his profile in book sales and deserved it so much more.

RapunzelHadExtensions · 19/12/2025 18:36

worcesterpear · 19/12/2025 17:47

I'm a bit surprised as I thought he was gay - wouldn't have been surprised if it was inappropriate behaviour towards boys though, I suppose.

He was never gay or even bi. I reckon he did the whole camp thing to detract from how predatory he is to women.
Look up 'gay baiting'.

tattoolondon · 19/12/2025 18:39

Isn’t there part of a theme park somewhere named after him?? They’ll be regretting that decision.

Bulbsbulbsbulbs · 19/12/2025 18:19

in fairness you can be both

Yes, at Alton towers! It used to be Cadbury themed I think years ago, was so disappointed when I saw it there last year.
Hope they replace it with something better

SirChenjins · 19/12/2025 18:42

Does not surprise me one bit - he's a creep.

Alton Towers. I’m surprised it hasn’t been closed already to be honest.

JumpingJiminy · 19/12/2025 18:43

Victims have been silenced by lawyers and NDAs as well.

I was waiting to see if anyone mentioned this!

Is this actually true?! 😳

Supersimkin7 · 19/12/2025 18:46

Well done - funny it happened when CEO job turned female.

Nod to Rupert Murdoch, DW made him money, but evidently Uncle Rupert’s had enough.

IidentifyastheGrinch · 19/12/2025 18:48

The only surprising thing about this is how long it took them to drop him

DanaGLyder · 19/12/2025 18:49

So glad that somebody stood up and I him and I sincerely hope his books do not sell. Creepy individual as evidenced by his comments on talent to show when accidentally recorded. I think it’s awful that he was kept in and enabled to release more work for children. Good on his publishers! Need more of this kind of courage and authenticity!

Bruisername · 19/12/2025 18:51

Well the things I have heard bout how his erstwhile comedy partner treats the men he meets on tinder - birds of a feather

15minutesaday · 19/12/2025 18:51

Just seen this on the news. I'm not surprised in the slightest and wouldn't be surprised if other allegations come out in the future.

I wonder why the previous CEO of HarperCollins left sharpish.

CalzoneOnLegs · 19/12/2025 18:57

@DanaGLyder what did he say ?
