It has to be significant for Harper Collins to drop one of their best sellers. He made them a lot of money.

Really? He always seemed a goodun.

No, he's been rude & aggressive towards women who have different ideas & opinions from him, with which he doesn't agree, for some time. He's not the chirpy benign chap and apprentice National Treasure he appears.

This. Mr 'you'll have to go through me'.

I'd go through him like a dose of salts, the big streak of piss.

Just Xmas shopping in town today. WH Smith and Waterstones have lots of Walliams books on high display. I'm wondering if they are trying to get rid of them. They are full price though.

What bothered me though was Waterstones had a prominent display of Walliams books right next to a pile of HB books (Downton injunction guy). I know that Waterstones are well known for subliminal messages in their product placement.

Am I right that HB was cleared of the rumours? In that it was Huw not the other one? If so I am going to go back in and point it out. It's a bit cheeky of them.

I'm amazed it was to do with women, tbh, but not surprised it happened at all.

Your Secret Life? So why no mention of your wife, Hugh? ...other than the fact that she drives a Volvo!

Downton Abbey fans were mystified yesterday by an interview with actor Hugh Bonneville – tantalisingly titled My Secret Life – which appeared to reveal no secrets.

”a woman for children, a boy for pleasure and a goat for ecstasy.”

So maybe a sexual desire for goats is a real thing. I went to see a play called "The Goat" which was about what happened when a middle-aged married man became obsessed with a goat. It didn't end well for the goat.

Daygloboo · 23/12/2025 18:02

What's happening with russell brand. Are they preparing a trial or what ? Or has it all been forgotten

I saw Stephen Dillane as Hamlet on an A Level trip in 1997 or 98. He literally leapt across the stage naked with everything flapping. Not sure it was strictly necessary.

Edited to add I have no idea whether or not the teachers were expecting it!

Edited

He sounds terribly show-offy, to put it mildly. Something like Hair the audience will probably expect it as it's in the script, but Hamlet is a different matter...

Otoh I remember being a little kid seeing Swan Lake with my mother & looking at the Rigoletto poster. It said 'stage nudity' so I suppose they probably give warnings & thus it's allowed.

I think theres something rather creepy about RB. Id be interested in how they prove this isnt consent. Ive seen him out and about twice in real life and can completely see how people fawn over him but he always felt quite creepy.

There's a very big backlog on trial space but they sometimes also seen to wait a bit in sex abuse cases like his to see if other victims come forward, as they have. The more victims, the less likely he'll get away with it, he's on his way to prison for sure with 6 now. About time.
