I don't think she's very good? That tiger looks like a primary school child painted it.

Some of her actual artwork is quite nice (though not really my cup of tea) but the painting in the bathroom looks like a child did it.

I think if anyone buys it to repaint they may as well wait for a market price one rather than £1.4m over

With the difference, you could probably hire someone actually quite good to do a couple of murals if you're so inclined.

I was half expecting her to have painted a wall with Saturn devouring his son.

At that price, I think it's a pr stunt. She's hoping it'll get her a Wikipedia entry 😂

I love it , but I like her art

Her house looks like a schizophrenics fever dream. This isn’t art it is destruction of property. That house needs to be completely gutted.

Emily Powell is having a bit of a moment but the house value is less than £400k, so she’s selling the art for £1.6 million.

Good for her, if she finds a wealthy art collector who’s willing to buy it!

Who buys them? Her family? Friends? Or is this one of those 'saw you coming' Harry Enfield sketches?

That's an absolute shocker, couldn't live there!

I can't decide whether it's badly done or it's a 'Thing' and I'm missing the brilliance 🤔 my instincts tell me it's badly done and looks rushed. I like arty farty stuff, but I prefer something a bit more professional and polished. The colours are pretty, but some of them don't work together. It makes a change from all the dreadful whites, greys and neutrals though.

It's a remarkably dull house without the artwork. The exterior is awful.

I couldn’t live there as I like peace and tranquility at home. My husband works away and he also likes a restful home.

All those colours and drawings are far too busy to feel relaxed.

I have three paintings in this house for which I paid more than £5K, but they don't make me want to put on my shades indoors.

It looks like Charleston Farmhouse on speed, not naive enough to be special, so afraid I will stick with my one bed flat for the time being.

You'd need a lot of emulsion. That is migraine inducing.

I've looked up the artist. It's odd stuff. Better quality brushwork and colours than the house, but lots of landscapes and still lifes of the type that might be seen as a bit modern and daring in certain circles, and then some "humorous" naive pieces - like someone who likes the idea of David Shrigley but doesn't get the joke.

It’s not to my taste but it’s so much nicer than the plain, bland grey and white box like houses that you see so often on Mumsnet.

Now that's beautiful. Not keen on the carpets but i'de give it a go.
