I know we like a nose around other peoples houses. Might need sunglasses for this one.

Fuck no no no!

MyRubyFox · 06/12/2025 07:59

Jeez NO! Not the whole house like that, it would bring on a migraine as soon as you got in the front door!

ReneeBM · 06/12/2025 09:30

Wonder who will buy it!?!

🤣🤣🤣 well spotted. I take it, its in a valuable neighborhood. But 2 million 🤔

DibDob22 · 06/12/2025 18:08

The view is nice 🤣🤣

PhilOPastry62 · 06/12/2025 18:32

Not for me. Not unless the artist - who I see has undertaken to visit every five years for the foreseeable to update her work - is willing to paint over the whole thing with something a bit more restful!

Anxietyspiral · 06/12/2025 19:28

I wonder if you could get a mortgage for it? Fair enough she thinks its worth 2 million, but would the bank agree?

Ramallamading · 06/12/2025 19:50

Absolutely not! Nightmare to redecorate

Just noticed that. No way. If I buy a house I want it to be mine! How narcissistic to sell it and expect to be invited back regularly

CrushingOnRubies · 06/12/2025 21:27

i want someone to buy it enjoy it then white wash it or totally paint over in magnolia then the artist rocks up to have to repaint or what?

Jogonpolly · 06/12/2025 22:04

I think it's wonderful but I'd absolutely hate to live in it!

AllyTrevally241 · 06/12/2025 22:29

Five bedrooms, one bathroom? Not for £2 million

Itsjustmethatsall · 06/12/2025 23:06

You'd never be bored looking at all that! I actually love it. Sadly could perhaps only drum up a couple of grand though 😂

Tammygirl12 · 07/12/2025 07:16

Wow gorgeous

opencecilgee · 07/12/2025 08:58

this is madness. £2m for a terraced house in fishy Brixham? For £1.5m can get something magnificent with a sea view in Darrmouth!

opencecilgee · 07/12/2025 09:03

I don’t think it’s mortgageable. Would have to be a cash buyer

opencecilgee · 07/12/2025 09:05

It’s not a posh area. Its not worth even half a mil. It’s because of the art work

so would need to be an art lover who buys

Sooose · 07/12/2025 10:35

Wow.

I imagine if I were to daub all over my house it would devalue it. But then I'm not a known professional artist. I reckon I could match this standard of art though! ;-)

I read somewhere that the paintings relate to things that are personal to her family. So I'm not sure how someone else living with that would work. Or could you ask her to repaint something else that related to your own family? Really get value for money from that £2,000,000.

I quite like her actual artworks; a riot of colour nicely constrained within a rectangle....

And there is a so-called 'mansion' according to the Government. And its not even in London.

I quite like the rooms- but the hallway and staircase are a bit much IMO.

If we're going to bash the government can we at least do it with facts? 1) they have never used the word mansion, this has come from the right wing press to wind people up. 2) similar houses in Brixham have sold for £500k so it's a pure publicity stunt.

Toddlerteaplease · 07/12/2025 12:14

Apparently shes selling because she’s run out of surfaces to paint. There was a story on BBC news about it. Talk about blowing your own trumpet!

I posted the bbc article below it was on the local news the other day. Was quite a bizarre report, can tell we are coming up to no news silly season

Toddlerteaplease · 07/12/2025 13:35

@CrushingOnRubiestuays exactly what I thought!

Oddly , I think that's a studio.Maybe she doesn't like the distraction.

Ha - you may well be right!

Interesting. Does all that art increase or decrease the value?

Is the artist anyone of note?

Is it priced as something special for the area or as something where the buyer will need to do a lot of work? I know Devon has become expensive, but £2m?

Presumably increase. That's a £2m house in Brixham with what looks like a fairly poor state of general upkeep, so the £££ must be for the 'art'. Not for me but I guess art is subjective!
