Ok, well I don't believe that the £22BN black hole that Labour made a song and dance about actually existed. Neither do the OBR.
If there was a discrepancy, Labour tacked on other things such as PS pay rises. Labour announced a £22BN carbon capture scheme within a week of announcing that the tories had left a black hole of exactly the same size. They also paid off train drivers and junior doctors. I hope that explains my scepticism of the existence of a black hole.
Labour's first budget was an epic disaster that took out businesses at the knees, hence the rise in unemployment, and masses of insolvencies. This has also impacted things like food prices which are inflationary. They have actively stifled growth, and extinguished confidence in our economy. We now have a crisis in the jobs market, particularly for young people, and the housing market is stalling due to economic conditions.
Most people on this side of the debate would agree that there needs to be a massive reduction in state spending to balance the books, alongside measures to stimulate growth.
