does not look like anyone has started this yet this year. Yes its the thread for FB tat those awful things people are selling for a fortune that are handmade. anyone seen anything yet, previous years people have put on some great buys!

That’s not an answer to my question though is it? It’s more OTT hyperbole. Incidentally if that sort of things were to happen to my kids I’d like to think I’d bringing them up in such a way that they would see that sort of shit for what it is and not dwell on it. Sorry if you’d have them on suicide watch because of it.

To be fair, that's only what a lot of the manufacturers do themselves: add a bit of brightly-coloured cardboard and sell something dull and functional for twice as much as a 'gift idea'.

Same with Easter eggs.

Yes, true. I actually don't blame her. I just think less of people who have so little imagination they would buy something like that. Same as I am always amazed (and not in a good way) by people who buy ready-made costumes,which are things you could literally put together from stuff you already have. (Eg Boy in the dress costume -literally dress a boy in a dress with football socks)
