does not look like anyone has started this yet this year. Yes its the thread for FB tat those awful things people are selling for a fortune that are handmade. anyone seen anything yet, previous years people have put on some great buys!

Actually, I'd buy that.

Some stuff you see is excellent, and the crafters have a lot of skill. Other things, not so much…

Can you not gather stuff from your own garden?

I don't have a garden but I suppose I could do a little pruning in the local park . Florists near me sell trimmings like this for £25.

Not everyone has their own garden. Even if they do have a garden, they quite probably won’t have fir or holly in it.

I have a big garden and have neither.

I do however have a woodland (my own) with plenty.

What’s wrong with the wheels? I made myself one in summer to put above my front door. It looks nice (only to me it seems!!!) lol!!!!!

those Royal baubles are horrific! Imagine them hanging on the tree staring at you all over the festive season!

The royals are known to give each other quirky/humerous tat instead of proper gifts at Christmas. If I was a younger royal I'd buy two of those and wear them as earrings to dinner on Christmas Day 🤣

seems like Christmas time, everyone decides they are all florists/ expert crafters/home designers!

At my old house I used to belong to a womens group @rainbowunicorn22 and for our Christmas party we had to bring in a wrapped Christmas bauble to do a lucky dip, we'd unwrap them and then there would be a prize for the tackiest/tasteless one. Some of the ideas in the thread would have been perfect!

I think my favourite is the Christmas hanger, aka let’s put a few baubles on a stick and try and charge £30 for it.
