Hmm, I have 2 theories:

1. She didn't think his mum fit in her shallow aesthetic, based on the photos I've seen of the guests and the do as a whole.
2. His mum doesn't necessarily approve of the partnership- looking at the timeline described in the article, from when they met to when they apparently got together, I wouldn't be surprised if his mum had sided more with the mother of his child.

Before anyone says, if you don't know who they are, read the article. Yes there are more important things to worry about in the world, I can think about more than one thing at a time.
This is purely my opinion, so hopefully I can't be sued.

Reported on here but as with the rest of this story all of this is allegations from both sides so who knows what the truth is. Holly apparently reported it to the police after consulting with her parents. A sure way of dividing a family if that was your intention.

It’s perfectly reasonable to report threats to the police, it’s what MNers always tell people to do.

My friend's then boyfriend told her that if his ex found out they were a couple she would pour petrol through her letter box. She went to the police after the ex phoned her asking to speak to him. He then said it was just a figure of speech after the police became involved..

What a graby wedding gift list, aren't they loaded enough as it is, 45 for some random hooks, 200 for a blanket, 350 for some nursery furniture (what if they can't even have kids) and 1.8k for a bbq, surley Gordan has lots knocking around they can use

Thanks. I just read it. Given the biased article I read with sympathy towards his mum alongside the list, I bet she’s the one who leaked the list.

I thought it was rather modest. I couldn’t tell you the last time I spent less than £100 on a wedding gift and the weddings I go to are very typical.

Tipped them off? Surely you mean reported the threats against her fiance to the police.

In all fairness I think it’s quite a reasonable list. I think the whole concept of wedding lists is a bit grabby. But it starts from £23 and has things on the more expensive side, which I think caters to both families.

Most just ask for money too.

Ah, so the problem is someone reporting criminal threats against them to the police, and not the threats being made in the first place? Wild.

The brother would not have been arrested without there being grounds for it. Note also that the family members haven’t come out and claimed he didn’t do what he’s been accused of, which given their recent form you can but guarantee they would have done if they could present it as being the case, but have instead made vague statements about having compassion for the brother’s mental health (but only his mental health of course, not the mental health of those on the receiving end of his ire).

He’s just posted a statement on Instagram, saying a whole load of nothing. I don’t know why he’s included his sister in it from what I’ve seen everything’s been directed and him and Holly.

Over the past few days, a lot has been reported and comments posted about the private life of Holly and myself. My sister Bethany, has also been targeted. This has been almost entirely one-sided and, in many cases, excessive ind intrusive. It has been deeply hurtful and upsetting to read, especially giver he false basis upon which we have been targeted. What makes it worse is tha it has been encouraged by members of my family.

For those who know me personally, you know that I work so hard on trying to improve myself as a person who wants to contribute to making the world a better place. I am continuing to learn about myself and how I can be the man I want to be; a worthy partner, father, businessman, friend and athlete; even through these challenging times. Bethany, Holly and I will get through this - we do not ask for sympathy. We just need people to be aware that there are always two sides to every story. To those of you who have reached out and shown kindness and understanding - thank you. It is deeply appreciated.

Well, it sounds to me that there have been issues long before the hen party.

I can only imagine what his aunt, mum etc have had to say about his sister attending the hen party, and not taking her mum’s “side”.

It reads to me like the sister had also received threats from the brother that was arrested.

I didn't even know who Adam was prior to this, but his family seem toxic as fuck.

Whether he seems likeable or not, he is getting married soon. What a disgraceful way to behave prior to your son’s/family member’s wedding. I imagine this will be upsetting for him.

So if I’ve read correctly his sister actually
does rather well for herself.

So rather than Adam or his sister becoming too good for them I ponder if the remaining family feel rather entitled to their fortunes and then have turned on them when it hasn’t been so forth coming as they want.

He's said positive things about his family in the past. Christ knows what went wrong.

Interesting the statement refers to his sister as well so much. Like it’s really trying to push the point that it’s not just him that’s fallen out with them.

It makes you wonder why issues never arose when Peaty was with his ex partner - they lived together and had a child, that's just as big of a deal as marriage. If his mother was the villain I suspect this would have been known before the Ramseys came on stage. Something has gone wrong since, whether it's between the two families or Peaty himself wasn't particularly great, he has had a rough period since splitting from his ex and by his own admission, there's a side to him that isn't nice - didn't he write this in his autobiography?

Anyway, they'll all come to regret this shambles and it'll drag the marriage down forever. The Daily Mail will be writing about this in any article about them for the next 25 years. Not a nice prospect.

Sounds like the issues were disparities in income, which presumably wasn’t such an issue with the ex, and the brother going off the rails, which may also not have been such a big issue in the past.

And she may have been a total nightmare with the ex for all we know, but just fewer people looking at the ex’s instagram so less public fallout.

We don’t know that there weren’t issues previously? This has only ended up in the press because the Ramsays are famous.

This wedding will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
