Thank you for the new thread, it’s lovely having some people to chat with that understand.

MewithME · 03/11/2025 22:24

@FurForksSake it is! Thank you to you all for being there too. 😊

Landed! Thanks for the new thread @MewithME

Stressybetty · 04/11/2025 01:00

Thanks for the new thread op!

TeaAndStrumpets · 04/11/2025 10:57

I thought I survived my trip to the GP, now 24 hours later it's flattened me. PEM is the thing I can hardly get my head around, and it fools me every time. Oh well back to resting and strict pacing for the forseeable future.
DH has banned house viewings until I'm better, I thought I could manage but he's just said no. This is not his first rodeo! The agent is a bit disappointed because they've found us a good buyer, but they'll just have to wait. The last few months have been so stressful.

Orangesandlemons77 · 04/11/2025 11:12

Hope the meetings go Ok today MEwithME

VikingNorthUtsire · 04/11/2025 11:49

Thanks for the new thread @MewithME

Hugs to all those struggling at the moment especially with the turn of the season and changing clocks.

We're currently on holiday in the UK. Adult kids joined us for the weekend meaning I did way too much, but they've left now and I am blissfully tucked warm up in bed with the windows wide-open and the sound of waves on the beach literally right outside. I want to stay here for ever.

Tarkan · 04/11/2025 12:01

Think I lost you before the second thread. Glad to see this pop up.

I’ve had a really shit time with my pain levels recently and that and the weather changing has really messed with my mental health too.

I’m going out for lunch today with DH, DD, my parents and my mum’s friend who is visiting so I know that’ll be the only thing I can manage today.

Oh how fabulous that sounds! So soothing.

zebrazoop · 04/11/2025 12:37

I’m new to the Fred 🙋‍♀️
I’ve rested this morning , will pop to shops and a friends for a coffee before school run. Then swimming lessons and kids stuff this afternoon

TeaAndStrumpets · 04/11/2025 12:37

Hope you have a nice time @Tarkan .

I agree the gloomy weather is disheartening at the moment.

TeaAndStrumpets · 04/11/2025 13:12

Hi @zebrazoop sounds like good pacing!

MewithME · 04/11/2025 13:41

@VikingNorthUtsire that sounds absolutely wonderful. So pleased for you.

I keep trying to find somewhere right on the beach like that. I'll have to start thinking for next year. 😊

I have survived my work meeting this morning. It was tedious but ok.

I was super hungry so I have just bought a sandwich and I'm in my office at work trying to gnaw my way through it. It's proper bread from a poncey new bakery but I may use all my energy budget to chew the bloody thing 🙈😂

InMySpareTime · 04/11/2025 14:14

@MewithME my heart always sinks when a sandwich menu has a load of fancy sourdough instead of soft bread. Lunch shouldn’t be that much hard work.

TodayIsatrickyone · 04/11/2025 14:27

Ahh brain fog kicked in once again and thought it was quiet on the old thread but found you now!
Thanks for the new thread @MewithME and hope the sandwich didn’t exhaust you too much!

@VikingNorthUtsire that sounds just fabulous. I live by the coast but I don’t get to the beach much for obvious reasons but still appreciate having it nearby.

@TeaAndStrumpets it sounds like the right call re viewings just now and although frustrating, if they’re keen, they’ll wait a little while.

Another bed/ sofa day here. I knew the PIP assessment would exhaust me yesterday but blimey I’ve totally crashed. I think I was probably relying on adrenaline to cope so now I’m really struggling to rest/ sleep despite being utterly exhausted. Ah well, It will pass in time.

TodayIsatrickyone · 04/11/2025 14:30

Oops just realised I’ve used a different username…. My old one was something to do with a hot beverage please I think 🤔 Damn brain fog! Anyway today is tricky so it’s pretty apt!!

keepmeright · 04/11/2025 14:53

Seen previous threads but always too tired to keep up but thought i'd jump in today! Had a long lie, first in two weeks after getting my wet room fitted. Wet room is excellent, had a hot shower for the first time in a long time. Final week of eating gluten as Endoscopy for ceoliac disease is on Friday. Suggestions on what I should have for lunch are welcome 😁

Oh hotbeverageplease you are a woman of many faces! Glad you made it.

I am always shocked at how easily I relapse when I push through my energy envelope.

Yes I am hardening my heart about viewings. Last week I had to vacate the house for two pairs of punters and neither is serious so I knackered myself for nothing. So they can whistle for a week or so.

FurForksSake · 04/11/2025 15:45

Afternoon, went over to the hospital for my pre op for surgery. I totally masked how much pain and fatigue I was experiencing. I’ve been sat with my feet up since.

TeaAndStrumpets · 04/11/2025 15:49

@keepmeright oh how exciting, I will be getting a wet room in our new house and I am really looking forward to it.

I stopped eating wheat many years ago but if I could get away with it, crusty white bread with butter and blackcurrant conserve was my secret comfort food, but not really a balanced meal! Maybe some pasta?

Good luck for Friday!

@MewithME I bet they charge more for the fancy bread, too! I don't eat bread any more but DH likes Jackson's sliced white so if we have visitors we have to buy in the posh stuff. Keeping up appearances!

TeaAndStrumpets · 04/11/2025 15:51

@FurForksSake another hurdle cleared, will be thinking of you on Friday.

FurForksSake · 04/11/2025 16:06

I can’t believe it’s nearly here, 9 days is it? To go.

TodayIsatrickyone · 04/11/2025 16:26

Oh I gave up gluten too and for some reason I really miss a toasted tea cake with loads of butter! Again not really a lunch but it’s what I miss and Yorkshire puddings but neither are they 😂
well done @FurForksSake I imagine you just want to get the op over and done with now.

I’ve moved to the sofa, dippy dog is behaving and definitely seems happy snoozing with me on rest days. My old dogs always were but she’s still young and I did worry she might get bored but DD can play with her shortly once she’s home.

keepmeright · 04/11/2025 16:40

Believe it or not I can get decent GF pasta & Yorkshire puddings or I would be eating lots of both 😁 white crusty bread with lurpac sounds lovely right now.

Wet room has been life changing, definitely recommend. I have ME/pots & the tachycardia is triggered with standing/heat so it's been lovely to just sit in the shower & not rush out

keepmeright · 04/11/2025 16:40

Ooh now a scone with clotted cream & jam would also be good right now 😄
