Which news, Facebook, TikTok, X, They haven't said yet, it was on the BBC a bit earlier.

I think there might be a small misunderstanding — Facebook, TikTok, and X don’t actually qualify as news sources.

The platforms themselves are quite incapable of ‘saying’ anything. They simply exist so that others may post on them — sometimes even those who deal in actual news.

Unfortunately, as soon as I hear about this attack, I knew 90% certain the colour of the attacker and that it would either be some sort of terrorist attack or “mental health”. I can’t believe I am
almost at the point of voting Reform too having always been liberal left wing labour voter….

People assumed the same for the man in Liverpool who drove his car into crowds.

Thank you, many of us live/have lived in these areas of high immmigration and have been saying for the past few years about this issue. There’s so many people in their nice MC area unaffected who have no idea about the actual problem people are warning about ,calling us racist and thick from their John Lewis sofas. They literally have no idea about the reality of the situation

Quite.
These useful idiots with their luxury beliefs and privilege could do with a short sharp shock of the reality that others are facing.

It's not bizarre at all, it's a question of what will and what won't trigger riots by right wing thugs tonight.

What I’m not understanding is why colour auto means they are an Islamist terrorist or being white rules it out
There is some people literally only going about knowing the colour of their skin.

If a dinghy sinks itself then the people on it will die and we can all sing Don't Look Back Anger.

The message will immediately spread to the potential illegal immigrants that trying to cross the channel will definitely be unsuccessful and could result in death.

Result: The boats will stop and countless lives will be saved. No more accidental drownings via the crossings and fewer murders in this country by Islamists

When people take risks with their lives, they should pay the consequences. You wouldn't believe how quickly others contemplating the same ventures will wise up. If you want to take in refugees, take them in from camps near the trouble spots and still be careful as to what sort of people you are taking in.

So you re wanting UK service men & women to kill them if they refuse to turn around and then be opening up themselves to criminal charges?

Or do you want the law on murder to be suspended and how do you think we would be treated internationally?

You could kiss goodbye to any co op with the EU, inc trade and travel.

You don't even know if these people are asylum seekers, you re just an extremist who is using this attack to peddle your far right murderous views.

Jesus fucking Christ. You are actually advocating bombing people?

I immediately thought this was a county lines fight when I heard about it. Non stop train going to Kings Cross. We have massive county line gangs issues in our area with the gangs travelling down from London. Anyway, we shall see.

yes we didn’t start a riot over that did we

I remember the young Irish man with the dead immigrants in the back of the van a few years back. He was literally driving the van and people dismissed he could of had anything to do with it because he was white .. and handsome !

Fair enough, but I hope that you accept that Starmer is clearly deeply unpopular - we can all draw our own conclusions as to why that might be.

For me, it’s predominantly because he is a liar. Yes, he is also weak, cowardly, vindictive etc. He lied to obtain power, and will seemingly do anything to retain it.

Many of us will now watch his words/deeds closely, as the facts surrounding this terrible incident, become clear.

He certainly doesn’t seem to be popular based on the available polls. I don’t see why I (or anyone else…) would want to dispute that.

Which is what everyone ought to do (imo). Elected politicians (their words and actions. Or lack of action…) should be watched closely.

Even you know it wasn’t. Burying your head in the sand will not cure this.

What? Why do we have to hope it was a “white British man”? Explain it to me, explain clearly why we are supposed to “hope” this?

@Savemydrink i realise you didn’t say this but couldn’t be bothered to scroll back for the original horrrndoud quote!

Obviously I don't use these not news sources, that is why I said I have said it wasn't on the BBC news but people do use these as a source of news, when they are just opinion not news. So no misunderstanding

err he was videoed and streamed on social media, the cops could hardly say otherwise.

Have a look on social media at what people who were on the train are saying. Funny how the cops stay quiet when it suits them.

I have no doubt whatever happens they’ll try to cover it up and twist it the best they can, another Welsh choirboy most probably.

I’m guessing what they meant is if it was a white man then it wouldn’t have as much ripple effect a it sounds awful but even if your white British especially living in the city any sort of back lash / revenge / riots etc could be dangerous and it’s been boiling over for a long period of time not that this might lead to chaos. I wish it didn’t happen at all but I’m guessing this is what they meant.

cottonwoolie · 02/11/2025 08:01

Our navy should patrol the edge of international waters. And refuse to allow boats through

The cost of that would be prohibitive

Freysimo · 02/11/2025 08:02

Even the BBC is saying counter terrorism officers are working with the police, so it's not a couple of random stabbers who both happen to have mental health issues.

juggleit · 01/11/2025 23:56

Mine too… he’s very jittery when we are out in crowds these days.
He went to a footie match with our son and said he feels on alert all the time now. I dont want my daughter to use the trains when she goes to college - it seems to me that passengers ontrains are such an easy target for these criminals

Such a very sad state of affairs.

Both DHs are right, sadly. Always try to have a plan of what to do in the event of an attack in public, and take basic defensive precautions when out and about.

And if Starmer fudges, or evades, or does nothing except dish out platitudes, then what?

What are the consequences? IF, this is proven to have been the work of fundamentalists, how many innocent people must die before the government of the day act?

3IATLAS · 02/11/2025 08:04

This sort of attack will be terrorist or severe MH related (although perhaps MH less likely as there were apparently 2 attackers). If it had been a sole attacker and smaller number injured I might have thought violent robbery, but seems less likely.
police need to be consistent releasing details eg the Liverpool car attack was immediately attributed to a white male. We need as immediate as possible information in all attacks.

If you read my post I said 90% sure. I am always 100% sure it’s a man and 90% sure it’s not a white person. Either Muslim terror/ hate related or Black man with mental health issue recently released from some institution prematurely. I think this is pretty factual when it comes to unprovoked attacks like this.

It doesn't usually. Everyone sticks to their own naturally.
