Are you actually serious?!?!?

I think Swifty is a troll, her contributions are insane.

miraxxx · 02/11/2025 04:37

spoonbillstretford · 02/11/2025 00:31

Horrible but in the US it would be a mass shooting and they average one a week.

Just to put things in perspective.

Lovely, nothing to see.

Ah apologies, was skim-reading.

Another classic move - trying to shift the focus onto my behaviour.

I didn’t call you a liar. I called out spreading misinformation. There is a difference.

No, I said I was honestly curious. You said you didn’t believe that and that I was asking in bad faith. That is calling me a liar.

Pretending other wise is just gaslighting.

Garamousalata · 02/11/2025 04:43

This is just awful. I hope the victims fully recover. I’m really scared about what’s happening in our country.

Calling a question loaded isn’t the same as calling you a liar? Stop playing the victim.

You said bad faith, not loaded. Calling you out for calling me a liar and then gaslighting about it doesn’t make me a victim. You saying I’m playing the victim is just more gaslighting.

BIossomtoes · 01/11/2025 23:34

I can’t believe that on a thread about an absolutely horrific incident people are squabbling. What’s the matter with you?

Come now, this is MN - with the thread having the obvious potential to be divided along certain lines.

Really, what did you expect?

Nolletimiere · 02/11/2025 04:57

Netcurtainnelly · 02/11/2025 01:38

Starmer is weak and has no backbone.

Agreed.

Call me a ‘gaslighter’ all you want if it makes you feel better. But you were quite literally spreading lies so I don’t know why you are annoyed.

Nestingbirds · 02/11/2025 05:04

It has been announced it is being treated as a terrorist incident, with counter terrorism police now involved.

Nestingbirds · 02/11/2025 05:08

A few posts in, and one of the posts said they hoped it wasn’t a terrorist incident as it will fuel more hatred. I am astonished by the mind bending of that post.

What is fuelling anger is the total lack of security and control in this country. If this is another example, then surely the answer is for the government to find their back bone and start to take serious and meaningful action.

As we all knew it would be even if so many like to pretend it’s not the most likely outcome.

Sequinsoneverythingplease · 02/11/2025 05:19

Quite. We have to remain with the facts. The facts are it is another terrorist incident.

Is this acceptable in our country? No it really isn’t. People are being forced to protest/riot because of the government’s total inaction and impotence.

Nolletimiere · 02/11/2025 05:26

Ironic that the government have instructed the public ‘not to fuel speculation’, when they have been doing just that with all the budget rumour and speculation.

A truly two tier government.

Sequinsoneverythingplease · 02/11/2025 05:29

MN is utterly bizarre at times. So many, so desperate to down play, remove blame from those responsible. All those people on that train stabbed and terrorised as they go about their lawful daily business, people & families who will never be the same again and yet there are multiple MNetters whose absolute first priority is to try to assign blame elsewhere - football fans 🙄 ffs. It’s completely disgusting tbh. Where is the anger and pain that your fellow country men and women are being attacked in this way? Why is your first priority to protect those who are committing these acts? Absolutely baffles me.

I find it baffling and disturbing too. The determination to avoid looking at the truth - the truth being that most of the hate filled mass murders in this country are being fuelled by racism towards US. Not the other way around.

It seems for some it is utterly unthinkable that a minority of people living amongst us wish to cause us serious harm. That they truly detest our culture and way of life.

Yes this does need addressing and should be brought into the light. Skirting around the truth, insisting all immigration is good immmigration and everyone is here for wholesome society contribution is just utterly utterly deluded.

IThis view is totally removed from actual reality. Until it impacts them directly and forcefully I imagine they will keep their fingers in their ears, their eyes shut and continue their fluffy denial. I must say the numbers of people willing to do this is diminishing by the day thankfully.

The limp response of the government is not improving matters, and only fuelling anger and demands for this god damn country to get a bloody grip. What will it take?

SoEasyToFall · 01/11/2025 23:17

The report on Sky said it was from Newcastle to London.

Newcastle fans are known to be a bjt shitty, in sorry to say. Like I said. It was just my first thought. I’m not going to bend myself backwards into some sort of racism rage when we don’t know anything about the identity of the suspects.

Newcastle fans meant to be a bit shitty? Says who? What’s your evidence?

in any event this is extremely unlikely to be football related.

Nestingbirds · 02/11/2025 05:47

It is not football related, and has already been confirmed as terrorism.

A terrible comment from the PP - seeking to deflect on to Newcastle fans.
Outrageous.

Love the Magpies and their supporters.

Thread on X from someone on the train and I don’t mind telling you I am crying reading it.

If people want multiculturalism and tolerance to remain preserved in our country, the government are going to have to put their big pants on and deal with the root issues.

Dragging their feet, crippled by inaction is going to cost us everything we have worked so hard to achieve here. The goodwill is running out fast from the public that’s for sure.

SiobahnRoy · 02/11/2025 05:55

So much unnecessary and misleading speculation going on here. Let the police investigate.

Claymoreiron · 02/11/2025 05:58

Just catching up on whole thread.

i read on news that they are now saying it’s not terrorism?
