Oh come on, it’s wont be about football. We know exactly who it will be.

Exactly, cannot believe some of the mental gymnastics from some posters on here. It's been confirmed as terrorism, the suspects got on the train at Peterborough. Trying to blame the football supporters, JFC we know exactly who it will be.

Noone wants to be gaslighted by the people they voted in to lead them. That's why labour are in government now and it's why reform are gaining traction as we speak.

Reform are certainly talking a lot of shite!

Yep, but a lot of people had faith in the conservatives and then labour and do now want to think reform will do what they say.
Personally, I don't believe they will or even want them to, but I think many people really are hoping for 'reform'.

What does that mean?

You know full well what it means- and your and your ilks, fucking bullshit virtue signalling bolllocks and faux naivety is wearing thin duck

There is no bigger picture. No PM has ever resigned in such a situation - why would Starmer?

Right exactly - and who are “the usual suspects” that poster is referring to?

In my hometown and my current neighbourhood it’s mainly white (and a few British POC) youths committing violence. Is that who you mean?

The majority of violence isn’t committed by asylum seekers or immigrants or whoever you’re trying to insinuate does most of it.

Don't lie, murderers, rapists and other men convicted of violent crimes go to jail after sentencing they are not immediately deported.
If you've escaped a war-torn hell-hole and fought your way across Europe to get here then serving a prison term in the UK is infinitely preferable to being repatriated.
Some people like to think that only victims flee from the horror of war but quite often it's the perpetrators who end up in a better situation.

It increases their risk of deportation. It increases the risk far more than launching and winning an appeal would. Also where is this flood of asylum seekers (and we have ZERO idea if this was asylum seekers) committing crime to get a prison sentence to delay their deportation?

I am in a taxi on my way home with my disabled son. We should have been at Peterborough Station over two hours ago. We were on a train behind the one where the incident occurred. We were stuck in a place called Arlesey, which I believe is in Bedfordshire, for a long time until the decision was made for us to cross the platform and take the southbound train to Hitchin, whereupon we would have taxis and coaches to take us home. I have to say that the train driver, police and railway personnel were all very professional friendly and efficient. We were very inconvenienced and the thought of how much money this will have cost is horrendous but, of course this all pales into insignificance in comparison with the victims of the stabbings and those poor people who will be traumatised by witnessing such a dreadful thing, including the train driver and railway staff. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

You can't have been on the train behind it if you were due in Peterborough and stopped at Arlesley. You were going north, that train was south.

You were caught because the line has had to be shut, but not behind that train.

MyBeloved · 02/11/2025 00:18

I'm sure this will be a terror incident. This country is becoming a very scary place to live.

Oh it’s just dogwhistling over a case with little info. And given the rarity of mass stabbings on a train I don’t know how there could be any “usual suspects” for a rare crime.

ilovesooty · 02/11/2025 00:19

AInightingale · 01/11/2025 23:38

Starmer says news is 'deeply concerning'. 'Deeply concerning', an attempted mass murder. I do wonder what the actual fuck is wrong with that man.

What do you expect him to say?

cottonwoolie · 02/11/2025 00:20

@Doobedobe well I get why people want things to change but as pp said it's not easy

AutumnTimePolice · 02/11/2025 00:20

When are we going to say enough is enough? We all know who it is, we’re not stupid.
But let’s all pretend it’s football hooligans 🤬🤬🤬🤬

amateurgobshite · 02/11/2025 00:20

@SoEasyToFall What is the typical timing of a terrorist attack then?

Smartskittles · 02/11/2025 00:20

Tauranga · 02/11/2025 00:19

What I said was factual. It’s a majority white country and majority of violence is committed by white males.

JHound · 02/11/2025 00:21

Tauranga · 02/11/2025 00:19

No they’re not. It is absolutely correct to state “Statistically the majority of crime is not committed by asylum seekers and immigrants” as the data supports that.

Libellousness · 02/11/2025 00:21

SoEasyToFall · 01/11/2025 23:11

Yes, really.

You’re being ridiculous. My first thought - as would be the case for any rational person - was terrorism. We have had multiple mass stabbings carried out by terrorists in this country. We’re yet to have one perpetrated by a footie fan. Grow up.

EasternStandard · 02/11/2025 00:22

I genuinely have no idea who it is. I doubt very much it is football hooligans or women but a mass stabbing of this nature on a cross country train is sufficiently rare enough for me to have zero idea.

Potentially terror related if there were multiple assailants.

You’re travelling in the opposite direction.

Yes, but the whole of Huntingdon from every direction was closed. This includes road as well as rail. The whole thing is a nightmare.

Yeah exactly, I’ve noticed “Usual suspects” is a phrase I see racists throw around under the social media posts in the comments of any criminal that is non-white.

They were even use it immediately after the murder of those 3 women by that Kyle whatshisname - until it came out he just had dark features but was white English with then they went quiet.
