I am in a taxi on my way home with my disabled son. We should have been at Peterborough Station over two hours ago. We were on a train behind the one where the incident occurred. We were stuck in a place called Arlesey, which I believe is in Bedfordshire, for a long time until the decision was made for us to cross the platform and take the southbound train to Hitchin, whereupon we would have taxis and coaches to take us home. I have to say that the train driver, police and railway personnel were all very professional friendly and efficient. We were very inconvenienced and the thought of how much money this will have cost is horrendous but, of course this all pales into insignificance in comparison with the victims of the stabbings and those poor people who will be traumatised by witnessing such a dreadful thing, including the train driver and railway staff. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.
