What!!! Is this true? Who will take over? I'm shocked!

I'm finding it a bit suss to be honest, why announce it halfway through the series? Surely the beginning or the end makes more sense. Maybe someone was threatening to leak it but it's still odd timing.

Also wonder if this will be the end of Tess's telly career. Literally never seen her on anything else these days. Suspect that won't be an issue for Claudia!

Wonder who will take over. Rob Rinder and Rylan would be my pick.

"Shut up Tess" is a frequent chant in our house (a bit mean I know but I dont think she adds anything much!)

Bill Bailey was the last time I watched it properly too. I tried to last year but got bored within an hour. Not bothered at all this year.

Rylan is on far too many channels and programmes and needs to step away from the dental work and surgery, he's looking terrible and it's badly affecting his speech.

Just watching daytime TV. Lisa Snowden could be a replacement. She was a SCD contestant.

I like Claudia but I can't say I will miss Tess . I have no idea who will replace them though -i like Rylan , maybe Zoe Ball?

A Speak Your Weight machine would be more charismatic than Tess but I will miss Claudia. Rylan would be good but I like having two women in a prime spot.

Maybe Oti would come back as a presenter. I can dream.

I agree re Tess strictly is her powerhouse not sure where she would go. Claudia doesn’t need it obviously.
They might go down a dancer route - janette and Aljaz?
or try to get the younger audience - dianne and Joe?
or one of the bog standard presenters like Alison, dermot, Ben, holly, Rochelle, Rylan

I enjoy Claudia a lot. No idea how Tess has lasted so long.

My guess is that Claudia has been offered something somewhere else (more money no doubt) and cant do both that and Strictly.

I reckon i could do Tess' job on strictly.

Wouldnt be shocked if Rylan gets bumped up to present, along with a Rosie Ramsay type.

Although I'm not a fan of La Voix's dancing I'm loving seeing Tess try to deal with their off the cuff quips. She's completely out of her depth, rictus grin and fake laugh but you can see the panic in her eyes that it's going off autocue.

I think the trouble is that when a programme that relies on celebs runs on and on with the same format it gets tired, so the celebs go down in quality. Plus the professional dancers become well known and more of a draw than the celebs. And that's without all the off-screen baggage it's collected. I wonder if it's Claudia who's led the departure as she has lots of options at the moment.

Well, it’s either going completely or will get a new lease of life, with lots of changes. Which would be nice ~assuming it’s the changes I want~!
