A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Are you just here to goad and derail? Yes or no.

Both. Just ignore them.

Although something has changed, actually. In the UK, people used to believe that Left wing parties were 'nicer'.

This lot have their scnouts in the trough more than any previous party I can remember, so that Illusion has surely been shattered once and for all.

That’s one of the most loathsome things about the left: their trumpeted assumption that if you’re left-wing you’re a better, more ethical person.

Quite apart from being wrong on a personal level - there are just as many greedy, unprincipled and obnoxious left-wingers as anywhere else on the political spectrum - left-wing policy isn’t kinder or more decent by nature.

All parties play to their constituencies. And in the end, bankrupting a country isn’t ‘caring’ or ‘decent’.

TheNuthatch · 21/10/2025 19:42

TheNuthatch · 21/10/2025 19:36

You're absolutely right about the current batch of snouts, but I don't think the illusion is shattered at all. All over MN, just as superior as ever despite everything we've experienced since their heros finally took power.
They seem to be pretending that Starmer no longer exists so they can keep the fantasy alive. Look at the polling for hypno-tits. I mean, come on.

**heroes.

If there is ever consensus that an interloper is acting in bad faith/ goading/attempting a derail, I would be happy to raise it with MNHQ.

Just sayin’…

AbsentosaurusRex · 21/10/2025 20:01

The thing is that although the Labour devotees are telling themselves and each other, that the Labour Party are still the principled honest ‘adults in the room’ (👀 😆😆) option they thought they’d voted for - they must keep on pretending. The cognitive dissonance is real. A great example, actually.

They know Labour are doing a shit job, they know Starmer and his people are incompetent, they know it’s not what they voted for. They’re desperately trying and hoping and twisting reality to try and meet their expectations, but even that’s becoming impossible.

So now they’re left with pages and pages taken up with discussing reform and Nigel Farage. Tommy Robinson too. Not sure how the Starmer thread would be filled otherwise.

Then NC to come on this thread for a bit of red meat, must be nice for them, contrasted with the rotting cabbage of trying to think of good things to write about Labour.

Nah don’t bother. It’s fun interesting to play with the deluded.

100%.

They can’t fill their threads unless they go seriously off-piste - we are talking way beyond felines, people….

Labour deputy leadership result this weekend.

I’m backing Powell….(premised on it being the worst outcome for THE BOLLARD).

That ought to be the most cross-party and unaligned inquiry one could imagine.

Labour have turned it into a political circus because they couldn’t stomach the possible outcomes and, more importantly, turned it into a disgraceful shambles.

Speaking of Powell, she would be well qualified to step in.

She could even bring her whistle.

This just keeps getting worse doesn't it. It's disgusting.

This sense of control and stage-management has left many of us questioning whether our voices truly matter, or whether we are being used to legitimise decisions that have already been made,"

I'm furious for them. I wish I was surprised.

Hi late to this thread but wow it is lovely to see others who hate or dislike Labour as well.
I have never liked the party living in Wales have always thought they’ve done more damage than good for the Welsh yet for many years they’ve been voted in continuously, I can only hope that by some luck they finally get booted out.
My family are worse off since Labour have been in than we were when the Tories were and by no means are we well off far from it.
I am without any political party that I fully agree with or support.

Ive never been a fan of Green Party either I fear they are the loony party that would ban all of us from living any sort of life we’d all be told we can’t leave our towns ever again no cars no freedom etc.

Plaid Cymru as much as I can see some of the points I don’t think they would give Labour much of a knock and I think they’d jump in bed with Labour to continue etc.
Tories wouldn’t vote for again for obvious reasons.

Lib Dems not much there and lastly Reform UK I just can’t trust Farage he lied so much with Brexit I feel he’s just spouting the same to gain votes from disgruntled and fed up Brits but his party won’t deliver at all what they say they will.

Labour investigating grooming gangs.

Hmm, a conflict of interest, no? Given their wish to protect the Muslim vote.

It's just all so sad and inevitable. These women, who have survived despite the best efforts of the establishment should be heard. Lesser people would have buckled under the awfulness of it all.
Of course they're right, why are the inquiry board members being drawn from the very institutions that let these girls down in the first place. I can totally see why they are so angry. To them, it's a form of betrayal that the very type of person who demonised them the first time around should be in charge again. Hardly independent is it?

Just a bit.
These are mainly Labour areas so they were never going to throw themselves under a bus. Perhaps the survivors would be better served if they wait until there is a change of government.

Quite so.

Starmer emerges from this looking like an utter shit - a malevolent and vindictive individual. A small man.

TheNuthatch · 21/10/2025 20:51

Welcome @FunkyMonks 👋😁
I'm quite the tory I'm afraid, but I'm nice, honest 😂

Are you looking forward to seeing Labour get trounced at the by-election? I don't care who wins, as long as it's not Labour.

FABL (fucking anyone but Labour)
