Why did she have to borrow money from Epstein, and others I believe?
Andrew is super wealthy and I’m sure she’s made money from her Duchess title, such as talk shows and products she’s endorsed.
i just can’t understand her loans. And why anyone would give her one. And why she has debt.
Hopefully some of you know why.
She lives freely with Andrew so no overheads there. Surely it’s a great no no to borrow money from friends.

I only recall from what I’ve read over the years, no idea the sources.

She spends disgusting amounts on things she doesn’t even need eg. A house that she’d rent at crazy money (10k pcm or something) then still just stay at royal lodge with Andy Pandy and never set foot in the place. It would be filled with fresh flowers and have staff, cleaners etc. unused laundry being washed, food stocked that nobody will eat, and she’s always had drivers and ladies maid types, there’s been lots of history of having 10-12 staff on the go at once and them not being paid for months at a time.

Holidays she books and doesn’t turn up to, but again they’re things like luxury villas with staff and massages and treatments get booked in but nobody gets cancelled it all just ticks over and the bills come in at the end.

I remember reading that she likes the table set out with a full roast of an evening with all the options so say a whole chicken, a side of beef, and a rack of lamb, then all the trimmings - but then when nobody is actually around for dinner and it just sits there and goes cold and isn’t even given to staff or put in Tupperware, it’s binned! There’s no effort to check round if anyone like her daughters or whoever will be eating, she just says it better be done to a high standard and look like a massive feast, just in case. That might be salacious bullshit I have no idea, but it made me sick to read.

It’s all laid out in great detail.

I think she’s from one of those ‘formerly aristocratic but hasn’t got any money left’ families. Blue blood so acceptable as a royal wife, but the family struggled to pay the school fees sort of thing. All about keeping up appearances.

And then hasn’t had much work to speak of, and an expensive lifestyle to support.

I don’t think she has any particular skills / experience she can be paid for, beyond being a former member of the royal family and leveraging that connection…

The book was serialised in the daily mail. Her profligacy was legendary. One example i remember reading was her ordering huge amounts of food, side of beef, chicken, pork etc and most of it going to waste. Hosting hugely extravagant parties for her daughters, having a chauffeur on standby 24 /7. Things like that. I believe Her late Majesty bailed her out on numerous occasions

She must have made a lot of money from selling her books. I seem to recall she used to go to USA and go paid to promote diet products at one point. She probably just over spends.

People just can’t wrap their heads around the insane money people will throw away and how it racks up. You have to have encountered, or at least read about, the sheer numbers that adds up to millions. She’d have had chauffeurs on the payroll that go nowhere, but are working in shifts to be on call 24/7, banquets booked in just in case her precious ‘blood princesses’ drop in - or not - for Sunday dinner. Hairdressers and make up artists on the payroll as permanent staff, secretaries and PAs, people to manage all the people who aren’t working, running an office and multiple cars.

She has operated on a Kim Kardashian level of self maintenance and lifestyle since the 80s or 90s but without her level of income. Helicopters and private jets, only the best of the best, chefs and treatments, spending on her daughters too. Imagine a trip to Spain for most of us, we’re looking at cheap EasyJet flights and a half decent villa maybe share with friends, low season to keep costs down. Not for Fergie. A week in Spain will cost her £75k and she thinks nothing of it. She might not even turn up. The giant luxury villa was £8k a night, private chef and chauffeur booked in, security, guides and other add ons, plus either first class or private jet to get there for herself and her daughters and staff. All adds up.

Oh yes and that Swiss Chalet that they got sued over. Something like £12M and couldn’t pay for it and got sued. How bad do you have to be with money to already have had loads of trouble, then think buying a Swiss chalet is a good idea, and then realise you can’t pay for it and beg the owner to let you off half the cost. The entitlement is outrageous.

She has always spent as if she is a billionaire and Andrew has never been that wealthy.

Andrew has inherited wealth but there is a level of extravagance involved in their spending habits that would bankrupt the Pope. Post-divorce Fergie was provided for but not super rich

I feel a bit sick when I think of what it was like reading the Duchess of Kent’s obituary and what it would be like to read SF’s obituary.

It was many years ago, she is quite financially stable now but at one time lurched from one crisis to the next, admits she was hopeless with money.
Epstein 'helped' a lot of people and the more well known they were, the better.

I don't see any point in having an inquest on this. She was silly but hasn't actually done anything wrong and loads of people were taken in by Epstein, many a lot more important than her.

I care. She and A have spent a fortune of tax payers money. We won't know what the Queen left him as her will is hidden for 100 years but no doubt she left him a lot of money. The sooner we have a republic the better.

I think they should all get jobs, real ones too, not fake ones like B & E.
