Reed Diffusers That Actually, Properly, Really Scent A Room?

Usually I'm happy with The White Company ones, but I think they've changed the formula because their 'throw' is nowhere near as good anymore. Are the Valentte ones any good? Or please recommend your favourite.

Op the Valentte reed diffusers have massively gone down in terms of quality too over the last few years 😞.

I've currently got some Muji ones - can't smell them at all. We were in a lovely hotel recently and they had Zara diffusers which smelt great so I am planning to try those next.

LordyPutts · 02/10/2025 10:44

We gave up on reed ones because none seem to last or having any power. Now use air wick plug ins, and even after a month (and more if you’ve had the door/curtains closed!) you can still notice it!

Valentte smell pleasant, but last a very very short time. The reviews on their website are positive, but if you look on Trust Pilot, it’s a different story.

I was at my cousin's recently and she had one of these - absolutely gorgeous. She has a large house and it was in the hallway, it threw really well.

I’ve never found one that smells of anything 🤷‍♀️

DialSquare · 02/10/2025 11:14

Rituals are the only ones I’ve had that seem to last longer than the others.

friedaddedchilli · 02/10/2025 11:18

Habitat ones (sold by Sainsbury's) seem to have a good reach and last a long while.

3flyingducksarrive · 02/10/2025 11:27

Paddywax reeds have a reasonably strong scent

FiloPasty · 02/10/2025 11:28

I like Neom & Jo Malone but pricey

GeorgiePorge · 02/10/2025 11:41

North muse - they sell them in TX Maxx. they aren't expensive and give good strong scent, that you will notice when going in the room. Their candles are also excellent...the branding is all a little alternative but don't let that put you off.

Plump82 · 02/10/2025 11:42

I really rate the Next ones.

I really rate the Next ones.

Love the Next ones.
I bought a pumpkin one from The Range a couple of months ago and it smells amazing still.
Sadly, same with perfume now, most don't have any staying power now 😞

unsync · 02/10/2025 12:20

@Arraminta Do you turn the reeds when the smell starts to diminish?

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 02/10/2025 13:15

Neom. They are quite often discounted on Amazon.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 02/10/2025 13:16

I liked Valentine but I’ve stopped being able to smell my favourite one. I’m going to try changing to a different scent.

MissBattleaxe · 02/10/2025 13:22

I like Valentte but some are better than others. The Lemongrass one is amazing, as is Patchouli and Eucalyptus. However, I tried Portofino and it was very poor. The rose and jasmine one was lame too. They all seem to last exactly 8 weeks.

Bluebunnylover · 02/10/2025 13:30

I found the neom rose one doesn’t really throw the scent so was quite disappointed as their candles do

hattie43 · 02/10/2025 13:36

I’ve given up on reed diffusers because of the no scent problem . I have however just bought a Jo Loves one and it’s really good , the scent throw is noticeable and is much stronger in a warm room .

MonGrainDeSel · 02/10/2025 13:41

I really like the St Eval diffusers.

TonTonMacoute · 02/10/2025 13:44

I like these Swedish ones, from John Lewis

JaninaDuszejko · 02/10/2025 14:04

I recently bought an Aery reed diffuser set from a local shop and it's gorgeous and is lasting longer than the Habitat ones I've bought previously. I only havethem in the downstairs loo though so don't smell it unless I'm in there so don't get nose blind toit

FindingMeno · 02/10/2025 15:12

Cristalinas and St eval are good!
