Reed Diffusers That Actually, Properly, Really Scent A Room?

Usually I'm happy with The White Company ones, but I think they've changed the formula because their 'throw' is nowhere near as good anymore. Are the Valentte ones any good? Or please recommend your favourite.

Another person who thinks Valentte have gone downhill. They seem to do a lot of scents now which smell of nothing or are nauseating. Lemongrass & Rosemary is the only one I like.

Freckleface are good and last quite a while. Clean Laundry is amazing.

And pink grapefruit and pomelo gin from Yorkshire Soap Company.

Also agree with Aery, I got one for my birthday in March and I still get a lovely waft when I enter the living room

I had one from Oliver Bonas that smelt fantastic and lasted ages. It’s contained in the downstairs loo so only scenting a small space but it seems to be very effective!

The Hotel range from Aldi are surprisingly good.

My daughter bought me one and I've now become a middle aisle stalker in Aldi (having never even been in the shop before!). The diffusers are great value and smell lovely.

I have some by The Cahm Collective. It’s a small business local to me and they have a wonderful lasting scent. They’re the best ones I’ve used.

I know you’ve had a lot of suggestions. Here’s one more…

I like you support a small business and her products are just beautiful. The diffusers last for ages and you can buy refills.

The best I have found is a small independent shop near me called
All about Eve. They have an online shop.

Honestly the best ever and really strong.

My favourites are herb garden and black pomegranate.

Honestly they are a game changer

I bought a gorgeous one in Waitrose the other day, the smell was unreal. It was in the bathroom and I could smell it across the hallway .... however, all the liquid had disappeared within 7 days!!

askmenow · 03/10/2025 13:23

Fave is Bamford Incense willow diffuser, long lasting and strong.

askmenow · 03/10/2025 13:27

These are 250 ml oil based and last really well tho not the cheapest.

OrbitingTheEarth · 03/10/2025 13:32

I bought some Valentte ones after seeing them raved about on here and they were terrible. Expensive, pretty much zero smell unless i stick a reed up my nose. The cheap Airwick one lasted longer!

tinyspiny · 03/10/2025 13:33

The Jo Malone ones are excellent and although they are expensive they last ages . I got given one last year for Christmas ( thank you grand kitten) and it is in our sizeable office and is still going strong . I’ve got a Next lemon one in one of my bathrooms and that has lasted well although it isn’t something I’d put in a lounge or bedroom .

828Pax · 03/10/2025 13:37

I really like the Next ones. I've also just brought one from the range and am really suprised how strong the smell is and how it is lasting!

I’m glad it’s not just me. I got thoroughly sucked in by threads on here (which are now reckon they must post on) and spent a fortune. I’ve never wasted so much money on something so pointless.

Wowsersbrowsers · 03/10/2025 14:07

Another st eval one. I bought it after going to a friend's house that smelt so so good. Better on small rooms though.

Is this allabouteveathome please?

AgapanthusPink · 03/10/2025 14:17

Aldi own brand pomegranate and lime. I think it’s a Jo Malone dupe but reach is probably one of the best I’ve found!

Blankscreen · 03/10/2025 14:25

Yes

I don't work for them or anything but they really are lovely.

I agree - it's a lovely scent and effective! I would never have guessed that something so inexpensive would smell so good and last so long!

Londondreamer · 03/10/2025 14:50

AromaWorks - Every one I've tried were lovely and you can definitely smell them for weeks. Not cheap though, I have to hint at Christmas for them .

Arraminta · 03/10/2025 15:07

So, so many great suggestions. I'm very tempted by the whole Potts Candles + matching matches aesthetic etc. Anyone know what they smell like?

The only times I can smell reed diffusers is in very small spaces like toilets. Which is probably the place that needs them the most.
