Really shocked to read this. I’ve always been quite fascinated by her and why Tom Cruise and she split. She’s always tried so hard to present her second marriage as perfect. It’s quite sad.

I think reading between the lines, this has been on the cards for a very long time.

when you are that tall the amount of men taller than you are much less than for a shorter woman so I suppose you also have to start considering men who are shorter than you…..I always thought they were a bit mis matched though

She seems to appear in so many shows on streaming services that she must be away filming a lot. I wonder if she was using work to avoid an uncomfortable home life.

Not sure what being beautiful has got to do with anything (and I REALLY don’t think she is, personally), but it’s seemed obvious to me for a while that she’s got addiction/substance abuse issues. She behaves very oddly in public. She’s never been a good actress imo but the je ne sais quoi allure that people seemed to ascribe to her and that used to carry her into roles is gone. She’s also sadly as victim of Hollywood ageism. Anyway, hope it’s not too traumatic.

that’s interesting because I always thought he was the one with issues and it’s on public record that Nicole has supported him through a few rehabs. I didn’t think she had problems too.

Shame, I guess you only see what they present to the world but they always seemed very happy together.

It’s a long time ago but I’ll never quite forget the cheeky sprite she was in the miniseries Vietnam. Maybe that’s still in her somewhere underneath the carapace they have to develop. Hope she has a nice time for a bit on her own.

She is brilliant in The Killing of a Sacred Dear, Stoker, The Others, Practical Magic etc Personally, I think she is stunning and she seems to be busier than ever. But each to their own opinion and all that.

I think she has gone too far with trying to stay looking young and looks like one of the characters from ‘death becomes her’ now.

She sometimes looks a bit half cut on the promotion tours too. I guess only they know why they split and they are entitled to that privacy. It probably wasn’t because he was short!

Maybe he doesn't agree with her trying to make her daughter famous via the nepo route. And I agree she has had way too much botox. And she whines. Any one who whines about the media but accepts massive money to be a prop for a product - is not my vibe.

I've never cared much either way. Height is such an unimportant part of someones character. Some men- like Michael J Fox- certainly don't need height to have a huge presence! I suppose I was a little bit insecure about it if I was taller than my partner in my student years because it wasn't the expected 'look', but I feel like I grew out of worrying what people think a long time ago.

I never understand why this tragic superficiality is still going in the world we live in now. It says more about the woman than the man.

Oh, that's a shame. She ruined her looks completely with the constant fillers and frozen fish look, she looks just incredibly weird now, but then again he looks a bit odd too.

It actually suited her character on that Nine Perfect Strangers show, she looked utterly freakish up close, suited the weird nature of Masha the cult like health fanatic.

Not that it matters anyway, it's a shame that a seemingly happy marriage has ended.
