I really, really did not expect to like the Stacey & Joe TV show.
But I do 🤷‍♀️
Their whole set up is just lovely - extended and step family are just one big family
It's just an easy watch, very wholesome.

Strictly Come Dancing. Avoided it for years, loved The X Factor. Went off the X Factor and decided I needed another Saturday night watch. Bruce Forsyth had gone by then, never really liked him.So I gave Strictly a try, and got hooked!

Aldi's version of clover butter. Why was I paying for over priced clover for so long?!

Yes me too. Cheaper, but tastes exactly the same.

Please go it is amazing you wont be dissapointed.

I know we all like different things but I absolutely hated it. Over two hours of hiphop and an incomprehensible plot. Excruciating. But I'm quite old. My 17 year old DD loved it.

Kimchi. Delicious.

I so would like to try this as it would be good for my gut. Just need to bite the bullet and try it. Did buy some from M&S not their brand and it sat in my fridge till I threw it out.

I've just seen that Hamilton is coming to a local cinema. I didn't like the sound of it and had decided not to go. Maybe I should?

Well it moves quite fast as a lot of the songs are hip hop/rap so it can be hard to keep up with the story. But the songs are excellent & it's very entertaining

Guacamole and houmous

Doing the books for my DP’s small business. Hated maths at school but I find this kind off maths strangely satisfying.

Exercise.

Tell school leaver me that I would become a marathon runner or that I would pay £50 a month to go to a gym and I would have laughed in your face.

I really do blame school PE lessons for making me avoid exercise for so long.

Oh me too. Exercise has been a huge part of my life since I had pnd nearly 22 years ago. And even more so now I'm a member of David Lloyd.

Hated all exercise at school, especially cross country!

Baby groups. I never in million years thought I'd be the mum going to baby groups, but I loved them when my kids were small. They're far too big now, but I have such lovely memories from those times.

Ditto. Life saver.
Have several dear friends from that time 20 years ago.

Naythat · 24/09/2025 08:56

Getting up early. I've just had to start getting up at 6 am since September, and after decades of being a hardcore night owl, I'm amazed that I actually love it. I just need to work on getting to bed earlier!

Wicked stage show.

Same! I'm not into musicals and hate crowds, but absolutely loved this show. I've told my DD that I'll take her again at some point.

Johannesburg, South Africa. It wasn’t somewhere I would have thought to go (in fact SA in general was a place I would not really have thought to go) but a tour of Botswana ended there and it was a convenient place to fly out of to Mauritius. I ended up really liking it (the food was excellent, it was an interesting city with lots to see and do and of course the wine was excellent). I am now wanting to go back to SA as soon as I can, but encourage anyone going to SA not to skip a couple of days in Johannesburg - it’s very underrated.

Benidorm! Amazing fun and beautiful too. Here in our caravan now for 8 weeks for the fourth time. Don't knock it until you've tried it.

HeidiLite · 24/09/2025 09:20

Yes to exercise.

I hated it when I was a kid, never did any, sucked at anything I tried.
Just had not tried the right things yet. Am now a fitness instructor. It has improved my life massively.

polkadothorse · 24/09/2025 09:24

Cold pease pudding and ham sandwich ( tried it when visiting family in the North East).

Blackpool. I was expecting the worse kind of tacky poverty-stricken dreary North Sea depressing shit hole but it was actually some of the best fun I’ve had. And great fish and chips!

It’s the Irish Sea! And yes, it has a great buzz 😃 I love spending time on the prom in Blackpool

kellygoeswest · 24/09/2025 09:31

The Book of Mormon (the broadway/west end show, not the religious text!).

I never really vibed with South Park (which has the same writers)... but the show was really fun and I still reguarly listen to the sound track! It also introduced me to Andrew Rannells who I now adore!
