I really, really did not expect to like the Stacey & Joe TV show.
But I do 🤷‍♀️
Their whole set up is just lovely - extended and step family are just one big family
It's just an easy watch, very wholesome.

Dickens. I thought A Christmas Carol was as much as I could take but now the longer the better.
Horses, now I realise they’re just overgrown dogs.
Aubergines and courgettes. I’d eaten some seriously bad moussaka and ratatouille where they were boiled to a sludge.Then I discovered chargrilled versions.
Beethoven.

Rock Choir. Never in a million years did I think I would ever sing in public, let alone in front of an audience, but I really enjoy it and have made some lovely friends.

Game of Thrones, for ages it was the thing my DH watched if I was having an early night. I thought it looks like something I’d hate, not at all my cup of tea. Then one week when my DH was working away I binged the first series in a couple of evenings and was hooked.

Baby groups. I never in million years thought I'd be the mum going to baby groups, but I loved them when my kids were small. They're far too big now, but I have such lovely memories from those times.

I thought I would be claustrophobic, probably come down with norovirus, be surrounded by pretentious people and have intrusive thoughts about the Titanic 😂.

We actually had the best flipping holiday we've ever had as a family.

Germany. Beautiful country. Delightful people. Fantastic food.

How far have you got through the series(es)? Has your husband (and the general culture surrounding GOT).. eerrrr.. warned you about anything?

Mine would be: having a baby the second time around. We really struggled with our first when she was a baby (no idea what we were doing, general anxiety, pandemic, lack of sleep, etc). Went into the second one thinking it would be the same, plus the added stress of having a three year old. Turns out it was so much more chill. We knew what to do (baby wearing, co sleeping, breast feeding was easier, etc.), had all the stuff already so no big decisions, and I was on mat leave with my then toddler as well, who was a lovely toddler (just not a great baby, as discussed).

A cruise. Thought I'd hate it but it was fantastic. Nothing like I expected.

I've just seen that Hamilton is coming to a local cinema. I didn't like the sound of it and had decided not to go. Maybe I should?

Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando. Thought I'd be grumpy and wanting to get back to my normal cultural holidays but two days in found myself eating Mickey shaped pretzels while wearing mouse ears 😂

The school run. I thought it would be tedious but there are some really nice parents in my child's class and I look forward to chatting with them for a few minutes.

Hamilton is amazing.

I went to the west end to see Hamilton after watching it on Disney+ during Covid, it is outstanding !
