No-one is mentioning Trump's stroke

CharlotteCChapel · 12/09/2025 09:12

It's like tumbleweed out there. During the live televised 9/11 remembrance service Trump's face drooped on one side.

No-one in the mainstream media seems to be mentioning it.

Ive only seen it mentioned on IHIP and the Meidas Touch.

I think they want you to serve up the Internet for them. It doesn’t matter what you put they are entrenched and can’t see it.

If they want to know they can look.

I did look, and I saw a screen shots of anonymous accounts saying heinous things.

When people are anonymous on platforms like X, FB etc and only post hate, it’s a good bet they’re not genuine.

GoldThumb · 12/09/2025 14:42

Digdongdoo · 12/09/2025 14:38

Your algorithm must be wildly different than mine then. Because I can't find any celebration despite searching for it at your suggestion.

Can’t find any?

Bullshit.

Go to Twitter and type in ‘Celebrate Charlie Kirk death’.

EasternStandard · 12/09/2025 14:43

GoldThumb · 12/09/2025 14:40

People see what they want to see, I guess.

Exactly, I could provide hundred of examples, but what’s the point? They are not wanting a discussion in good faith.

These are the type of people who will tell you you don’t mean what you say, but a various ascribed motive they’ve given you.

Pointless

It is pointless. So much work. There’s an article on an Oxford Uni person revelling but it’ll be discounted as would anything else provided.

Not genuine as in bots, oot stirrers, trolls or mentally ill?

You genuinely don't understand what I'm talking about, do you?

You truly can't see what the rest of us are seeing about you.

🥱

Can't agree there. He's young full of vigor. He could go two terms

Yep. And nothing would be different and/or any better than it is now under Trump.

We're already suffering him, I doubt Trump is up to making any decisions.

'Appalling blister' is a good description, though. I take it you read Wodehouse?

Careful now…everyone might accuse @SeaAndStars of getting her descriptors from Chat GPT.

RingoJuice · 12/09/2025 14:46

GleisZwei · 12/09/2025 14:41

It's preventing a potential life from further developing. The person who has to let that life develop, carry it and birth it really should have the most say, with medical advice and emotional support, and within the legal parameters of wherever they reside.

Scientifically an individual human life is created at conception.

It’s up to society to decide at what point that matters. Most countries think the humane option is at viability—this seems about right to
me

SeaAndStars · 12/09/2025 14:47

@ChocolateCinderToffee Huge Wodehouse fan here - assuming you are too. All you need to know about life can be found in his books. Trump and Vance would benefit from reading them.

It’s literally how they see it.

You sound like Charlie, he also used to say it's not me saying it, it's the Bible saying it.

Bizarre to be so unable to see stuff. There’s also a Times article on BlueSky users talking about getting JKR next after CK (how awful is that)

Conception is the fusion of egg and sperm - alas that does not always result in the generation of viable life.

(Just for info, it is probably a waste of your time to start lecturing someone with a degree and PhD in a biological field on basic biology).

What do you want?

Me to post the names and faces of random teachers?

Random nurses?

It’s there if you want to look, if you don’t, don’t.

But you’ll not tell me there aren’t any.

I just do not find it credible

I don't know, but the difference between Trump and Musk making comments like the 'the left is a party of murder' to their hundreds of millions of followers is different to an anonymous troll with 9 followers.

The amount of threats directed towards her, saying she’s next etc. Horrible.

There are a few people on the hit list.

I know it’s news, but it makes me uneasy when the papers make articles on stuff like this.
Kind of like it could encourage others to follow suit in making threats.

But then I don’t really agree with censoring the news, so bit of a weird one.

That’s your opinion, like I said, I don’t really care if people think anyone is a good or bad person.

And as long as people keep it that, without wishing illness, or death, or celebrating death, or celebrating the thought someone is suffering with a stroke, then I have no issue.

But in this very thread you have people wishing and celebrating the thought of someone having a stroke, and they are not ‘good’ people either.

I don't believe it's that simple. I don't sit here randomly wishing Trump (or pretty much anyone, to be honest) would have a stroke, be assassinated or suffer in any way.

However I do believe the world has become and remains a more dangerous place since Trump first came to power, in no small part thanks to his character and actions. The school shootings, the social divides, the overt racism, the out of control gun culture in his country etc. I believe these are all things to be scared of and things he has personally promoted.

Setting aside the potential horror of Vance replacing him therefore, if it's a case of Trump, being healthy, stays where he is and keeps doing awful things, or Trump having a stroke meaning he can no longer be a bad president of the most powerful country in the world, I'll happily opt for the stroke option.

I supose similarly if it were a choice between Charlie Kirk's influence pushing some of his (to me) abhorrent policies into law or him being assassinated, I think I might choose assassination. I'm not pleased he's been killed, I'm not celebrating it in any way and would never have hoped or wished for it but from the point of view of a mother of two young girls who is very worried about the world they are growing up in, I could potentially see that as being for the greater good.

Maybe that does make me an awful person. Or it just makes me someone very worried about the influence and power of what I see as bad men and bad policies.

But the egg existed in the woman when she was a foetus, then baby, then child. So it was always life. Do you mourn the loss of every egg a woman loses when she has her period?
