No-one is mentioning Trump's stroke

CharlotteCChapel · 12/09/2025 09:12

It's like tumbleweed out there. During the live televised 9/11 remembrance service Trump's face drooped on one side.

No-one in the mainstream media seems to be mentioning it.

Ive only seen it mentioned on IHIP and the Meidas Touch.

My point was, I initially thought it was ‘some anonymous X accounts’

But it isn’t, it’s far more widespread than I realised, scarily so.

It’s not just pro trans, it’s all across the board.

I’m sorry you think I’m being being disingenuous by saying how shocked I was at seeing how widespread it is. But I don’t care.

I think you’re being disingenuous by pretending it’s just a few u hinged anonymous accounts with these views

Again, can you name some well known people who have come with those views?

Because from screenshots posted, they all like anonymous accounts or bots.

It’s not a bad faith interpretation to say he believed a child rape victim should not be allowed an abortion. He unequivocally believed that, said it frequently and confirmed he would feel the same even if the child in question was his own daughter.

How has that poster in any way misrepresented his view on that topic or projected bad faith onto it? They said exactly what he believed, factually.

Yeah he said this, and if you are pro-choice you are not going to understand it.

For me, I would never let my daughter give birth to a rapist’s baby. The thought makes me want to puke.

But if you are pro-life, you don’t see the fetus as ‘a rapist’s baby’, you see it as a human being, as his grandchild. That it is a blessing from god.

He was a better human being than I am for this one, tbh.

(this is something I debate fellow right-wingers a lot about tho)

Oh please....just because someone says ' we' doesn't give them the mandate of speaking for every left leaning person south of the Artic circle. Who are 'we' who are 'they'? If I watched all maga leaning social media I would conclude that every American was off their rocker so whatever you're watching you need to be more choice about what you're watching and/or be more discerning of what is being said and who is saying it.

To add i watch alot of independent left leaning social media, news , and influencers , not one has rejoiced in this shooting. None.

Also, when it’s a cross section of random people, teachers, nurses, soldiers etc. then yes, that worries me. I didn’t realise how pervasive it was, among general everyday people

Yeah well ditto. Now you know how the centre and left feel. Some very short and very selective memories on display here.

God, no he's not a 'better person'. His daughter at the time was 9. Giving birth could easily kill her. So he'd be prepared to sacrifice his own child to preserve that rapist's sperm. I can't compute this at all. It's just vile.

GoldThumb · 12/09/2025 12:55

Yep, you’ve summed how reading that comment made me feel perfectly!

I absolutely stand behind what I said. There are people who, unfortunately, the world is a better place without them in it. Here are some of the “highlights” of Hitler’s career and rise to power (keep an eye out to see if you recognise anything familiar):

  • Promote a fear of communism and sell yourself as the answer to leftist ideologies.
  • Emphasise how your country has been humiliated in the past.
  • Exploit hyperinflation to your advantage.
  • Blame other races for your problems. Create a unifying enemy through scapegoating.
  • Promise a revival of national pride and rebuilding of the economy.
  • Hold large, energising rallies.
  • Perpetuate middle/working class anxieties: fear of losing status and money.
  • Promise to restore your nation’s former glory.
  • Use modern techniques to spread propaganda—radio, film, mass rallies, posters.
  • Create paramilitary groups to intimidate opponents and give your movement a militaristic appeal.
  • Romanticise notions of your country’s national identity.
  • Disillusionment with rapid change—industrialisation, urbanisation, cultural change. Offer a “return to traditional values”.
  • Use of legal channels (parliament, courts) to gain power to dismantle democracy itself.
  • Backroom deals with corporate elites.
  • Use emergency powers after an event (Reichstag Fire) to suppress citizens.
  • Revoke citizenship of certain individuals.
  • Mass deportations.
I apologise if you believe that this is a mark on your twee bingo card.

Just hilarious how, the moment Trump is treated with the lack of empathy and cruelty that he shows to anyone who disagrees with him, all the pearl-clutchers come out to lecture us on decorum and humanity and good manners. Newsflash -- Bekind doesn't mean bekind to rapists, racists and child molesters. And if that causes hurty feelings well: grow a pair, snowflakes.

What a nasty, childish, mean-spirited post. Did you rub your hands together with glee when you posted this? 🙄Thinking you're all clever and funny and witty?

Hint: You're none of the above! ^

RingoJuice · 12/09/2025 13:36

squidsin · 12/09/2025 13:15

Is it really? Because I am well aware that certain elements of the community (a growing number of them in these Reformy times) would think it was hilarious if a 'lefty woke snowflake' like me was killed for whatever reason. I've already been accused of being non-patriotic and committing treason (for standing as a Labour councillor) so escalation into violence doesn't seem that much of a reach.

This is coming from the right. These people have been emboldened/radicalised by Trump and Farage into seeing left-leaning people as literal enemies. It's got worse since Jo Cox and probably only a matter of time before we see a repetition of that. Most left-leaning people are anti violence so the threats don't work the other way.

And FWIW it was clearly a professional hit on Charlie Kirk - shot from a single bullet from 200 metres away - and I doubt very much that this was paid for by some mysterious shady left-wing millionaire. More likely malicious agent who wants to further destabilise US democracy.

It doesn’t seem professional at all. It was a bolt-action rifle, typical gun used by hunters. He looked like he maybe hurt himself awkwardly jumping off the roof with the gun (at least seems that way from video footage)

Digdongdoo · 12/09/2025 13:30

Why selective?

Ditto? I’m not downplaying anyone saying they think that people they disagree with deserve to die? And celebrate it when someone’s assassinated? Or when they have a stroke.

‘Now you know how we feel’?

No, I don’t think I’ll ever know how you feel to downplay it from one side, and not the other.

FannyCradocksDoughnut · 12/09/2025 13:36

This view does/did not make anyone a better human being. Forcing a woman/girl to birth a rapist's baby is beyond cruel. If she chooses to continue with the pregnancy she should be supported in every way possible, but it has to be her informed choice. The religious views of a random man should have no influence on this decision.

@PhuckTrump that was a LOT of words, and very well laid out, for something that ended up just being a load of drivel.

By that logic, you should never Google any history and always read and quote Encyclopædia Britannica.

Typically conservatives are okay with abortion if the mother’s life is at risk, all states with abortion bans have this carve out. So no, he’d not sacrifice her life in that way.

But yeah, I’m with you in the sense I would not want a rapist scumbag to reproduce with my own flesh and blood.

Nobody here is taunting trump, but we're allowed to not like a narcissist. Biden was not fit for the job, but he's not a narcissist.

His wife was. As were his entire team, who used him ruthlessly as an empty vessel for them to hold power. Lady Macbeth has nothing on Jill Biden.

Charlie Kirk explicitly said he'd make her give birth if she fell pregnant with a rapist's baby. You're giving him an 'out' that he never committed to. I am struggling to comprehend why people are trying to make him out to be a better man that he was.

He was not a good man. Not on any level.
