No-one is mentioning Trump's stroke

It's like tumbleweed out there. During the live televised 9/11 remembrance service Trump's face drooped on one side.

No-one in the mainstream media seems to be mentioning it.

Ive only seen it mentioned on IHIP and the Meidas Touch.

That’s your opinion, like I said, I don’t really care if people think anyone is a good or bad person.

And as long as people keep it that, without wishing illness, or death, or celebrating death, or celebrating the thought someone is suffering with a stroke, then I have no issue.

But in this very thread you have people wishing and celebrating the thought of someone having a stroke, and they are not ‘good’ people either.

I'm not wishing anyone dead, but I fail to see what I should miss if they do happen to die.

The problem is that you lot will give some wild misinterpretation of something he said.

You could just be truthful and say his Christian morality doesn’t appeal to you. Or that you disagree with him on abortion. Or that you don’t like his comparison of gay lifestyles to addiction.

But no. You actually prefer to willfully twist the stuff he says.

As an example, Charlie said 'Leviticus 18 says 'thou shalt lie with another man and be stoned to death'...just saying'.

What is your interpretation of this?

Trump has a serious body odour problem. You see people near him wiping their noses, facing the other way and when have finished their meeting etc - show a face of relief.

I don't think it's body odour 💩💨

I asked for examples of "revelling", you then asked if I had read the other threads. I said I have, and have not seen any "revelling". Quite how that is "whataboutery" I don't know. If there's so much revelling, you could surely find some with ease?

Yep, discussing the meaning of the Whataboutery, and pretending I attributed it to your ‘revelry’ question, and not your out of context comment. Classic.

I said there was revelry across social media.

And there is.

And if you say you haven’t seen them, well it must be because you have your hand la over your eyes and ears and are shouting ‘la la la’

PhuckTrump · 12/09/2025 12:37

Tauranga · 12/09/2025 11:42

Really? It's a shame he never had a stroke?

You need to think about what you are saying.

I absolutely cannot see any good people on the left. The mask of being the caring, in touch position has well and truly slipped.

So many twisted and bitter people rejoicing at other misfortune or wishing illness on people.

Does your #BeKind extend to Hitler? He was, after all, a fellow human being.

SeaAndStars · 12/09/2025 09:44

If Trump dies then we'll all have to suffer that appalling blister Vance.

Now you said it! Vance is part owner of a firm that buys up foreclosured farms in the US. These farmers are mostly Trump voters. How evil is that. I hope Trump limps along til his term ends. Imagine the fake hillbilly getting his feet under the table 😞. He could win in 28 ....

It wasn't "out of context". I was responding to another poster who asked about his thread. It was entirely in context. If that topic is "out of context" take it up with that other poster, not me.

Unpleasant white men? So you'd feel differently if it were black men? Why did you feel the need to add white into what you said?

I wondered this too. @GleisZwei can you explain what you mean by this?

Wow I already addressed this one lol.

Heres the context: Ms Rachel was using a Bible verse to persuade Christians to act on Gaza. So CK points out that the verse before has this statement, and how does she feel about it?

It was a conversation about using biblical text to make a political point.

Did you know that and pushed this lie anyway? Or did you just believe what other people told you without knowing the context?

GoldThumb · 12/09/2025 12:43

But the hateful rhetoric is coming from the right wing political space in the USA, not the Democrats.

Trump said this is 'left political violence', Laura Loomer said 'every left wing organisation needs to be shut down', Elon Musk said 'the left is a party of murder' and a number of prominent Republicans have said 'This is war'.

All of this hateful language will inevitably lead to violence.

Whilst Biden, Harris and Obama have condemned the murder and used calm language.

So how can you say the left relish this with a straight face?

There’s videos of those on the left dancing, singing ‘ding dong, the witch is dead’

There’s videos of a guy with a megaphone singing ‘we got him in the neck’ while others smile, dance and clap.

TMZ had a video live-streaming, and there were cheers and whooping in the background when his death was announced.
(They tried to say they were whooping and cheering at random a car chase, but at the exact minute they cheered was the exact minute the car chase they were watching announced his death).
A commentator on MSNBC? was fired for basically saying ‘well what did he expect, hateful thoughts lead to hateful ideas which led to hateful actions’

The incoming president of the Oxford Union said ‘Charlie Kirk got shot, let’s goooo’

There are thousands of comments, saying ‘Hope he suffered’, ‘I feel sorry for the bullet’ etc

Don't dare tell me hateful rhetoric isn’t coming from the left.

'Old white men' is phrase the Republican right take a lot of pride in. Charlton Heston famously said 'Old white men built the USA'.

Most of the people in power are old white men, so @GleisZwei is right. The men in power aren't old black women.

I agree.

And if we’re talking in such terms “the left” has said far more condemning his murder than “the right” did about the murder of Melissa Hortman (Democrat politician), for example. And then you consider what was said about the attack on Paul Pelosi.

To be clear, anyone revelling in or being gleeful over a murder is in the wrong. But to act like this is some unique left wing feature, and that there aren’t as many batshit people on the right, is just absurd. And I would never take the online ramblings about Hortman or Pelosi as evidence that there no good people left on the right, as a PP said about the left upthread.

But none of those people are Democrat politicians.

Those people don't represent the views of the majority of the left.

Just as Tommy Robinson doesn't represent the views of majority of the right.

I grew up in America in a conservative Christian community. Charlie Kirk reminds me of my father and brothers.

So when people gleefully celebrate his death, I feel it, deeply. I feel like they want people like my family dead, and they will be happy about. They’ll laugh about it, the more gruesome, the better.

It’s incredibly sobering. But here we are.

There's some awfully crass comments (that I don't agree with, fyi) about trumps stroke. But strokes aren't violence, and that is specifically what you said was being revelled in.

Yet another strawman!!
I didn’t mention politicians? You’re the one who randomly added the ‘must be a politician’ constraint.

I said I’m shocked by the sheer number of people on the left who are revelling.

It’s hideous.

This is ridiculous.
You're effectively saying we cannot refer to white men as white men, and if we do then we deserve a terrible day.
I don't care much about men who express views such as T or CK tbh, not sure why anyone with a conscience would tbh.
Keep digging though.
