I read an article, can't remember where, that tipped Edna as an up-and-coming name. I sent it to a friend whose mother is called Edna, as a baby name suggestion.

Mark and Linda and Julie are nice names. They'll definitely stay around. For a name to disappear it needs to really associated with a bad event or person or to have a really ugly sound. Nigel meets both those criteria.
