Something others do and make it look easy but you cant get the hang of it.

For me its cross word puzzles never finished one i have tried but it goes in the bin.
Sudoku what a waste of time.
Home made custard cant make it at all even reading the how to make it still fuck it up somehow.
Pancakes dont get me started i just have to buy them.

Parallel parking. I can park in the tightest of spaces, reverse down long country lanes...but I'm old enough to have never been taught parallel parking and whenever I've tried I've had a queue of irritated people watching me and have always given up!

Making a poached egg, assembling a box and using cling film

Building anything, even a kinder surprise toy.

Yorkshire puddings. Mine are always a disaster. I'm not much good at real gravy either; luckily DH makes fantastic gravy and I can live with frozen yorkshires.

Handstands and cartwheels, too old to learn now!

"For loops" in programming. It was on the CompSci curriculum Y9/Y10 a hundred years ago when I went to school. Now married to a programmer who has spent hours trying to teach me... still nothing.

I have a trick for you for a poached egg. Get the water to boil as normal get a ladle put a bit of olive oil in to grease it and crack your egg in it slowly lower the laddle in the boiling water (without letting water go in) and set a timer for 2 1/2 minutes once you seed the yolk turning white at the bottom of the ladle grab a flat spoon (not sure how they are called in English - you generally use them to scrape like batter) and lower the ladle all the way in and with the flat spoon just dislodge the egg into the pan and then when the timer is up take it
out and let it rinse on top of a paper towel.

edited to say: I suck at gardening and kill all plants. Indoors, outdoors, plants who are supposed to not be able to be killed - you name it I kill them all! 🤦‍♀️

The last time I parallel parked was many years ago when I practiced for and passed my driver's exam.
Only attempted it once after that, made such a public production of it, that I learned to seek out easy parking places that I could walk from!
Tying a proper knot, have only ever been able to master a simple knot.
Square dancing. Had to learn it in school, I dreaded it as I just couldn't get the hang of it and embarrassed myself many times by getting it wrong.

Which hand is left, which hand is right.

I took up boxing a few years back and knowing left and right is really really fucking important there. But I'm more confused now than ever - because I'm right handed, I lead with my left hand and foot which just melts my tiny brain.

Crochet , all the gear no idea !! I see my friends whipping up their stuff and I’ve only ever managed a line of stitches . Handled , knitting, cross stitch but crochet , just not happening.

Adulting. Everything is a struggle. I wish I was one of those well groomed, organised, soft spoken Earth mothers that bake, batch cook, and enjoy spending time with their children all day. Instead, I'm scrabbling around trying to remember everything, ignoring the housework even though it pisses me off, I buy dinner from Coop on the way home and spend most of the evenings on my phone hiding from my children. I love them to pieces but this is hard 😔

Maths. Anything involving numbers really - I have improved a lot since my last O level grade D fail, but I still get stressed when anything involving number ability is involved.

And I cannot get my diagonals right when I'm trotting. I can change diagonal, but I cannot tell which I'm on without looking down.

Swimming. Taken many many lessons but just cant get my feet off the floor.

Driving. Way to many things to think of at once

Knitting . Been shown many times just can’t do it

My previous job's photocopier.
I hated the thing with a passion and I think the feeling was mutual. It would block, tear the original, mysteriously produce copies that bore no relation to what I had put in and generally malfunction.
I took to lurking around the machine hoping some kind soul would take pity and help me out. Totally soul destroying!

Crochet. I have masered knitting (albeit slowly) Crochet is SO different !

I embarrassed myself so much at work attempting to assemble boxes for archiving documents, I just couldn't do it. And the instructions always seemed to be on the bottom of the blinking things. I'm also hopeless at those puzzles that look like open boxes with different colour sides.
I never mastered swimming, had lessons at school but just sank like a stone every time.

Whistling, have never been able to do it.

Hula hooping
Diving (although I love swimming, water sports, boats etc).

YES - highchairs, pushchairs and car seats .PAIN!

And blowing bubbles with bubble gum.

I am amazing at parallel parking, even on the wrong side of the road, but I can't reverse into a parking bay. I also can't whistle.

Truly makes my heart hurt especially as I can’t afford to eat out any longer so who knows when next I’ll taste this again!
