DH and DS Palace season ticket holders, they’re on their way to Wembley. DD and I at home, I’ve not watched any of the previous matches so won’t start now, DD will and give me commentary.

it would mean so much if they could win, esp Joel Ward’s last match

EAGGGLLLLLESSSSSSSSSSS

All my family are Palace fans. Dh and ds are season ticket holders. I support a different club, but I LOVE going to Palace matches. DH and dd are in their way to Wembley now. I'm going to watch with some friends in a local pub. The fans are elite for atmosphere, songs, and noise! I went to the semi final and was so happy when they won. So yes I'll be rooting for them today. Normal service will resume when the new season starts though. 😅

I started off supporting a Northern club but have gradually moved to Palace over the years s as wanted kids to support a club my kids had a fighting chance of actually getting to matches at.

It would be so wonderful for the area if they won too. Let’s hope 🏆

I’m a Doncaster Rovers fan so a neutral. Even though Crystal Palace knocked us out i would love them to win.

Not a ‘supporter’ of any team really except Swansea as they are local/Wales but yes come on Palace! Get that trophy! 🏆

My grandma was from Donnie, dad born in Skegness so was really gutted I couldn’t get to that game. SIL is Liverpool but even she said ‘today we are all Palace’

One of the lads at work is going this afternoon. My dd used to play for Crystal Palace many moons ago so definitely fingers crossed for a Palace win.

murasaki · 17/05/2025 13:15

Definitely rooting for Palace, as a) I live close by and b) they knocked my team out and I'd rather lose to the winners.

Lots of my friends are going today.

Sunshineandrainbow · 17/05/2025 13:22

Come on palace, would love them to win.

Try and watch, fa cup day is special.

lifemakeover · 17/05/2025 13:24

I support another London team but am 100% rooting for Palace. Would love to see them win today. Hope those going have a fab time!

DialSquare · 17/05/2025 13:29

Arsenal fan here rooting for Palace. I have friends who are Palace fans so really want a win for them.

DuncinToffee · 17/05/2025 13:44

Good luck Eagles from an Evertonian

I’ve agreed not to watch and do exactly the same as all the other matches which is to sit on sofa in front of it with DD. I stay on my iPad and she commentates (wearing her dads old yellow tulip computers top). They take the superstition very seriously and I can’t bear to change things just in case.

Superstitions are VERY important!

I have a lovely t shirt from the club shop that is fine every day apart from match day, as it sadly has a track record of embarrassing losses.

xabimunich3 · 17/05/2025 13:55

I'd love Palace to do it today, not just because I'm a Liverpool fan but because it's about time someone outside the so-called 'big six' won. Plus I'll be able to take the mick out of my City supporting boss on Monday morning - so come on you Eagles!

MrsSkylerWhite · 17/05/2025 13:56

When is it and who’s playing 🤣

Good luck.

NellyTimes · 17/05/2025 14:03

I reckon Man City fans are the only people who want them to win and even then I bet a few of them wouldn't mind Palace winning.

PiggyPlumPie · 17/05/2025 14:06

Derby fan here also rooting for Palace!

Yup, Man City fan here and I am willing them on, it would make up for a rather depressing season! My brother is as always going to Wembley, he’s been to every Wembley match to support them for years so has seen lots of wins - and losses!

I won’t be watching it though, I find live matches on TV too stressful! I’ll keep checking the score though.

JoanChitty · 17/05/2025 14:33

I’ve been a Palace fan since 1976 and I’m hoping it’s 3rd time lucky for them. I was born and bred in south London and they were my local team. What I do know is that the singing and chants from the Palace faithful are wonderful and I’m hoping they’ll be in fine voice today. C’mon you Eagles!

Matchingcollarandcuffs · 17/05/2025 14:36

DS is now 16 but has been going since he was about 4. DH grew up by the TV tower in South Norwood Hill and has also been going for years and years. Think all 3 kids learnt most their swear words there, DS has been singing the songs for at least a decade !

I’m supporting Palace although we are mostly a Spurs household (with a few other connections thrown in). No-one wants City to win unless they are actually a fan and I don’t know any of those. Apart from Liam and Noel

bostonchamps · 17/05/2025 14:45

Liverpool fan here checking in to the Palace supporters club for the afternoon.

The FA Cup is such a quintessentially British sporting event; the majority of neutral fans will be rooting for the underdog. Makes me proud to be a football fan.

hideawayforever · 17/05/2025 14:50

Everton supporters here all wanting palace to win 🏆

Jenkibubble · 17/05/2025 15:08

Would be lovely for the underdogs to win 🙏❤️

murasaki · 17/05/2025 15:08

We need a rousing version of 'Glad all over ' from the thread!
