DH and DS Palace season ticket holders, they’re on their way to Wembley. DD and I at home, I’ve not watched any of the previous matches so won’t start now, DD will and give me commentary.

it would mean so much if they could win, esp Joel Ward’s last match

EAGGGLLLLLESSSSSSSSSSS

Another great save!

2old4thisshit · 17/05/2025 17:19

I am very much an arsenal fan, but come on Palace! What a goalie!

Sunshineandrainbow · 17/05/2025 17:20

Fantastic that palace got to half time in the lead

What’s the Tifo? DD and I can’t work it out ? Think that’s Joel Ward’s kid as a mascot ?

Edited

They didn't dwell on it for long on TV. I think it's a kid and his dad celebrating after getting Zaha's shirt? Similar to the semi final?

I was at the semi, sadly not there today. Headline though is, I'm not doing great. Too late to introduce a first goal wins rules?

shellyleppard · 17/05/2025 17:29

I'm not normally a football fan but I'm glued to the TV!!!! Just muted the talking heads in half time 🤣

Tomatotater · 17/05/2025 17:34

Palace was my local team growing up. All my friends were Pslace fans and I went a few times because my brother got free tickets through his job. I'm watching today even though I haven't watched football in years. I thought I spotted one of my old mates in the crowd then realised I hadn't seen him for nearly 30 years, and it was probably his son! Come on you Eagles!

Matchingcollarandcuffs · 17/05/2025 17:37

DD and I realised we didn’t really breathe first half. Message from DH who’s there at half time 😬

literally just the emoji

Edit: I stand corrected.

The club's instagram has the story. A dad celebrating with his two kids a few years back. He's sadly died but his kids are there today.

Follows from the semi in that the kid featured there was taken by grandad and then the family kept the tradition after he died.

This club knows how to do it right and pull on the heart strings

GottaWork · 17/05/2025 17:43

I am a very light weight football fan and Palace supporter and I work with almost exclusively Brighton fans. I am desperate to go on the team call on Monday and just silently smile 😊

Oh, balls.

murasaki · 17/05/2025 17:50

Sarr's leg was the problem.

gillefc82 · 17/05/2025 17:50

I’m an Evertonian so more focused on tomorrow and the last game at Goodison Park.

That said, I do like Palace and am cheering you on!

tobee · 17/05/2025 17:53

Such a fun game, for a neutral, when these matches can be real tedious letdowns!

socks1107 · 17/05/2025 17:54

Yes me! I hate football but my DDs boyfriend is a huge Crystal Palace supporter. ( we live very near) They go on holiday tmrw and it would start it so good. He’s at Wembley now and I’m so anxious that they win

Richandstrange · 17/05/2025 17:59

I'm Villa but watching and cheering Palace on (just cos I really don't want City to win 😊), gutted they disallowed the second goal 🙁 Eze is quite something though, wouldn't mind at all if he fancied a move north over the summer 😉

Cososom · 17/05/2025 18:01

Another member of the Croydon Massive here. DH and DS are both season ticket holders and are at Wembley today, and I'm watching on the telly. Not usually much of a fan tbh, but feeling rather emotional about the idea that they might actually win it!

MinistryofThyme · 17/05/2025 18:09

Not long to go!

Matchingcollarandcuffs · 17/05/2025 18:11

DD has been shouting ‘get it out , GET IT OUT’ for at least the past 10 minutes

I can’t bear it

I’m a Doncaster Rovers fan so a neutral. Even though Crystal Palace knocked us out i would love them to win.

Same!
