DH and DS Palace season ticket holders, they’re on their way to Wembley. DD and I at home, I’ve not watched any of the previous matches so won’t start now, DD will and give me commentary.

it would mean so much if they could win, esp Joel Ward’s last match

EAGGGLLLLLESSSSSSSSSSS

What’s the Tifo? DD and I can’t work it out ? Think that’s Joel Ward’s kid as a mascot ?

Here we go! Up the Palace!

Westfacing · 17/05/2025 16:43

As a neutral (Liverpool) I'm supporting Palace - it's relaxing watching a match without your heart in your mouth!

On the Northern Line to and from Tooting this morning - quite a bit of chatter and excitement from a group of female fans who were already planning the street party Grin Football

Given this start that might have been a bit premature. Need to dig out my emergency propranolol

Not premature at all !!!!

Wot, no Tasty Jerk?! DH went in lockdown once as they were having withdrawal symptoms, think the whole of SE25 (and most of CR7 were there).

actually, when all that CR7 Ronaldo stuff came out in the shops I assumed it was cos it was the local postcode. It was only when I saw it in Oxford St that a hysterical DS explained it was Ronaldo’s number not Thornton Heath !

Would love to, but Tasty Jerk (and Good Life down South End) can't guarantee gluten free because you have to coat your goat in flour, so I make it at home instead - that'll be Sunday Dinner this week.

By the way, did you know that our takeaways are routinely spicier than other areas because nobody wants bland in Croydon?

murasaki · 17/05/2025 16:48

Fantastic goal!!!!!

Oh no about gluten free. We went to Tokia Square last night and it was good but the Thai was sooooo spicy

We used to have curry ghost every Saturday growing up. My mum never used flour.

Went to Lady Edridge next to CP Selhurst Park, life long supporter now living in North Yorkshire.
GOAL!!!!!

tobee · 17/05/2025 16:52

I know it's early but you can have 99% possession but if you don't score....

BridgetRandomfuck · 17/05/2025 16:57

Sitting watching with my lifelong Palace supporting DH and his best mate, the windows nearly shattered when Palace scored! Hope we can hang on…
