So many of you say this stuff is amazing so my partner got us some to try. Soooo what's the best way to eat it? On toast with avocado, or straight out the pot with a ladle?!

So gutted about price hike near me, b and m express it was £1.35 and it's now £1.80, I definitely can't have it as often.

Try Lidl, their own brand full fat in the darker blue pot is really nice and thick
aldi is rubbish in comparison

Bjorkdidit · 20/11/2025 05:55

Lidl is not a patch on Longley Farm, nothing is.

In some places you can buy a 450 g tub so nearly twice as much but about £2 to £2.50 so better value. They sometimes have it in independent delis, farm shops etc, in Booths and possibly on Ocado.

Or if you're nearby they do click and collect directly, I go about once a month and go hiking in the area to justify the trip.

It’s fairly comparable to me as in that it’s thick and creamy and you have to actually dig into it
i eat both regularly

Thanks I will definitely give this a go!

Also love the idea of visiting the farm shop. That sounds amazing!

M&S sell this now, they seem to have stopped selling their own brand and have replaced it with this.

HelloCharming · 20/11/2025 10:24

There are only 2 places that sell it near me - a local fairly nice deli/veg shop and our local garage - that otherwise only caters to people who are looking for a rustlers burgers and a side of pickled onion monster munch.

As does our big branch of Waitrose -

I used to be able to get this in my local asda in the grotty part of town but they have stopped selling it. Has it been gentrified??

HauntedBungalow · 20/11/2025 18:32

Yeah it has. Toktok is such a piece of shit. Invades your phone with spyware, everyone on it is a moron and everything shown on it ends up twice as expensive as it used to be. Its only purpose is to perpetuate capitalism without producing anything. Longley Farm was a budget range for decades. Now the zombies have found it it's unaffordable.

I must say my joy was unconfined when I spotted it in M&S. It really is da bomb.
