So many of you say this stuff is amazing so my partner got us some to try. Soooo what's the best way to eat it? On toast with avocado, or straight out the pot with a ladle?!

It IS the Queen of cottage cheeses. Really hard to find down here in Hampshire. Asda only have the low fat version which is NOT the queen of cottage cheeses. It was everywhere up North. Sad.

I feel sorry for you. You have to move “up north”. A couple of months ago I saw a lady in my local Sainsbury’s put 3 pots in her trolley and we had a chat about how nice it was

Emus · 14/05/2025 10:20

Ocado sell it (only the plain though) and I noticed someone behind me in Home Bargains a few weeks ago with it but sounds like they might have replaced it with a different brand now.

I get mine from Morrisons or the farm shop.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 14/05/2025 11:38

Showing as currently unavailable on my Waitrose online shop this week, so I've took a gamble and stuck a pot on my Mum's Sainsbury's order. Fingers crossed!

catin8oot5 · 14/05/2025 11:59

What’s so good about it compared to any other cottage cheese?

It is really think and creamy, to the point where you have to cut through it with the spoon. It’s not hard little lumps in sour liquid like so many other cottage cheeses. I only eat the full fat version so can’t comment on the low fat version.

I'm in Hampshire and most of our local farmshops sell it as does Iceland.

EstherGreenwood63 · 14/05/2025 13:25

@EndlesslyDecluttering thanks... will try Iceland... 😀

I'm deep south coast Hampshire and I can get it in Morrisons, Iceland, Home Bargains and Poundland.

My local Waitrose does not stock it, only it's own and I don't like their cottage cheese. At a push, I have bought Lidl and that's probably the next best one for me.

Crikeyalmighty · 14/05/2025 17:12

@Myblueclematis yep -I’m Waitrose and M&S shopper but both have horrible cottage cheese - so I am to be found most Saturdays nipping into Poundland and clearing them out

Sunshineandrainbow · 14/05/2025 20:58

Went to home bargains today where I normally get it and only cottage cheese was grahams.

Anyone tried this?

Home bargains was my go to place as it was reasonably priced. Morrisons its £1.80 but if needs must!

I got some Graham’s Keffir strawberry yogurt in Lidl I think. Very nice! No sweetener - quite tangy.

Not tried the Cottage Cheese but I’m a Longley Farm fan of many years! Their yogurts are also very good.

superstar63 · 18/05/2025 14:44

I can't find the cottage cheese with pineapple anywhere at the moment, out of stock everywhere!

It's not watery. It is really creamy with decent cheesy chunks. It's oddly more-ish.

Crinkle77 · 18/05/2025 17:14

LIZS · 13/05/2025 22:09

Morrisons used to sell it and the yogurts.

My local Morrisons still sell it. Sadly they've stopped selling the yoghurt. The Jersey cream is amazing and I think Morrisons still sell that.

Marylou2 · 18/05/2025 17:28

It's a staple in my diet. Breakfast with raspberries and blueberries. Lunch with prawns and Avocado. Dinner with baked sweet potato and salad. They make the best yoghurts too. Make sure you don't accidentally buy fat free though.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 18/05/2025 17:47

Why is it so creamy? Does it have cream in it?

BombayBicycleclub · 18/05/2025 17:49

No. Nothing in it except salt and milk

Longley farm Cottage Cheese is the best Cottage Cheese ever. No longer is that true, my latest purchase of this product has left me fuming. Probably due to cutbacks (thinkin the customers wont even notice) this product is now a soggy mess. It doesn't even taste the same. I suggest Longley Farm put the cheese back into Longley Farm Cottage Cheese cos at the moment it Longley Farm Cream with a little bit of cheese in.

crossstitchingnana · 19/11/2025 08:34

God that stuff’s been around for years! I used to buy it in the 80s from Holland and Barrett.

Are you sure you've not bought the fat free version by mistake?

I bought some last week and it was as delicious as ever.

SushiDisco · 19/11/2025 09:14

On top of sourdough with avocado and chilli oil!
