I wonder who the new pope will be

I hope it's not offensive to say it should be someone younger tbh, I couldn't connect with the last one xx

I loved Francis. He was humble, down to Earth and showed so much humanity.

I really hope they have chosen the same kind of person this time. Francis was the first Pope I really connected with. He seemed a kind man who genuinely cared for other people.

But definitely needs a younger person. The Asian cardinal would be good, can I hope the Catholic Church will go with a man who connects with people like this guy appears to? We shall see.

Possibly, especially in his last years as he grew more frail. Time they went with a younger cardinal.

Yes agreed. I was a big fan Francis and feel he did so much good, but was thinking today that it really would be a good thing to get someone younger in place.

Presumably they're getting his robes fitted. I'd need a stiff drink, one of many reasons why I will never be Pope.

Fascinating to watch. I like the mystique of Catholicism.

They were jolly quick, that's all I can say. One wonders whether many of them had already made their minds up over the past weeks when the previous Pope was ailing.

I'm not a Catholic, but the appointment of someone who will have such importance and influence in the lives of so many millions of people is worth watching.
