Can you remember the first thing you ordered off Amazon was?

I remember ordering two girls aloud DVDs. One was their Chemistry tour and the second was a documentary series about them preparing for the tour. At the time it seemed to exciting we would be able to watch the tour over and over as often as we wanted. I also remember Amazon parcels were just sent through Royal Mail and having to get the bus into town to pick up the parcel from the sorting office.

I was just thinking today about how Amazon used to just be an online book store. I do t really recall my first order but it would have been a book!

It was a book when Amazon only sold books. Much excitement when they started selling other things but can’t remember what the first non-book I purchased was.

I know some things about Amazon are unethical but they do hold fast to their promises and stop you traipsing up and down the high street looking for something

Apparently mine was a Lord of the Rings: Return of the King dvd box set back in 2004. Most likely an xmas present for DH.

The earliest thing on my orders history was a book back in 2002 about dealing with difficult relationships.

My first Amazon order was almost exactly 20 years ago. It was a couple of books, Fate is the Hunter by Ernest Gann and The Easy Way to Stop Smoking by Allen Carr.

My first non-book order is showing as a Lord of the Rings VHS in 2002. I never bought it on vhs so I think there's a glitch there. In the descriptions it's described as a download palmreader. I remember buying a dvd though.

I've just been back in the history and in 2000 I ordered Down Under by Bill Bryson and White Teeth by Zadie Smith.

In 2000 I bought one book - Success with Orchids.

In 2001 I bought 11 books.

In 2002 I see my first non book purchase which was Fellowship of the Ring on DVD
