What was your entrance song at your weddjng?

I’ve made up a piano/iguitar instrumental playlist of pop songs for my guests to wait on us. I’m thinking of the acoustic version of disclosure/sam smith “latch” by Cover Guru on Spotify. I’ve always loved that song (the original SS version) and I sent it to my partner as one of my fav songs when we were first speaking to one another. What’s your thoughts on that and what was your song?

I had Gabriel's Oboe. It's a beautiful sound. Went out to my friend's son playing Highland Cathedral on the bagpipes.

I'm not married but in my fantasy wedding it would be Feeling Good Nina Simone, with Dog Days are Over Florence and Machine for walking out.

Organ music on the way in - i can't remember what though. I got married before the law changed so you could marry in places other than church or registry office.

I’ve never married (and likely never will) but I do love threads like this. Always some lovely feel good music. At the moment I’m obsessed with Ordinary by Alex Warren, such a power song with a very choir-y feel. Book of Love used to be my dream ‘walk in’ song.

We got married in an Irish wood two years ago. I came down the "aisle" to the theme tune from The Detectorists. It was a beautiful hot and sunny day in late May and it was magical

We had Billy Idol Nice Day for a White Wedding to go out 😃 cliche but felt pretty cool at the time. (Not the 80’s, it was 2019)

Walking in was Arrival of the Queen of Sheba. Can’t actually remember what we walked out to 😊

Canon in D played by an incredible organist from the church. I cannot remember what I walked out too, too giddy and caught up in getting out of there. I hate being the centre of attention.

It might have been the Lily Allen cover of somewhere only we know? I can’t remember. I know we walked out to I’m a believer by smashmouth.

Book of love was on my shortlist too! We went more traditional in the end though, with the church organ in and out.
