I’ve made up a piano/iguitar instrumental playlist of pop songs for my guests to wait on us. I’m thinking of the acoustic version of disclosure/sam smith “latch” by Cover Guru on Spotify. I’ve always loved that song (the original SS version) and I sent it to my partner as one of my fav songs when we were first speaking to one another. What’s your thoughts on that and what was your song?

We came in to Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and walked out to You've Got The Love by Florence and the Machine. Love both of them!

TaggieO · 02/04/2025 00:59

Entrance music was an instrumental of Walking After You by the Foo Fighters. Exit was Hall and Oates - You Make My Dreams.

CanIbeRio · 02/04/2025 01:00

The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba.....absolutely loved it when it was played as an instrumental interlude at a choral concert I was in when I was 14! Makes me sound a right toff but we only took part in it to lust after the boys from the local private school - it was a joint effort between them and us lot from the girls comp!!
On my day, sadly, it was played really badly by the organist! It's quite upbeat and i didn't know whether to gallop Miranda style or walk at a sedate pace!!

RosesAndHellebores · 02/04/2025 01:07

In: The Grand March from Aida
Out: Widor's Toccata
Pachebel's Canon at the signing of the register

Music that has seen us right for 34 years!

NotYoCheese · 02/04/2025 01:12

Sexy Boy by Air - DH chose the music!

LushLemonTart · 02/04/2025 01:17

Walked in to a Tim McGraw album track called All We Ever Find. Vicar was initially disproving of me wanting the organ to stop for a “pop song” and then welled up at the lyrics upon hearing it, which rather explained my choice.

Out to Country Roads which got everyone moving and bopping a bit!

Lavenderandbrown · 02/04/2025 03:22

Trumpet voluntary Same as Jackie Kennedy and Diana Princess of Wales I too married a philander that day

Teaandsympathy34 · 02/04/2025 03:23

Walked into Come Away with Me by Nora Jones.
Walked out to Only Want to be with You by Dusty Springfield. Still happy with our choices.

MidnightBlush · 02/04/2025 03:34

I always thought Finley Quaye’s “Your Love Gets Sweeter Everyday” would be a lovely wedding song.

Ketryne · 02/04/2025 03:35

Walked in to Bethoven’s 5 Secrets by the Piano Guys, played by a string quartet. The song has no meaningful attachment but the music is so lovely, first time I heard it I wanted to walk down the aisle to it.

We had ‘how long will I love you’ for walking out, also played by the string quartet.

Walked in to Let's Get Married by the Proclaimers and out to Bring me Sunshine, by Morecambe and Wise. Still makes me smile

I set up a Spotify play list. Let's get married was one of the first 3 songs before I walked down the aisle.
My pianist learnt it and played it for us instead as a suprise. - not sure who else recognised it but I did as I walked into church. (We also sang 500 miles as part of the service.) Happy memories.

I walked down the aisle to Canon in D and out to Labi Sifri/madness - it must be love.

itsybitsyteenytot · 02/04/2025 05:52

We walked out to A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, played by a string quartet.
