I’ve made up a piano/iguitar instrumental playlist of pop songs for my guests to wait on us. I’m thinking of the acoustic version of disclosure/sam smith “latch” by Cover Guru on Spotify. I’ve always loved that song (the original SS version) and I sent it to my partner as one of my fav songs when we were first speaking to one another. What’s your thoughts on that and what was your song?

Walked down aisle to piano version of Bruno Mars - Just the way you are. Walked out to piano of Sweet child of mine (husband choice) and walked into wedding breakfast to Etta James - at last!

We had a male voice choir, The Rose was the song I walked in to. And they sang When I’m 64 as we walked out.

Muse, Feeling Good but I really wanted Live and Let Die 🤣

Ooh feeling good (muse version) was our first dance song. Great choice.

Not quite the answer to the question but a good friend had on, while waiting for the bride to arrive
“the final countdown” and
“danger zone” (from Top gun!)
showing my age, and this was a while ago, but I thought they were great choices!

When I Said I Do by Clint Black and Lisa Hartman. We're both big country fans.

Feuer Frei! By Rammstein. Had a very short walk so it needed to be snappy. Most pals are metal fans and it just made everyone else chuckle!

Vallmo47 · 02/04/2025 07:39

The river flows in you …. Absolutely stunning piano.

louisl8 · 02/04/2025 07:40

Songbird - the original Fleetwood Mac version

Vinvertebrate · 02/04/2025 07:41

The Imperial March from Star Wars - definitely a moment of levity!

AusMumhere · 02/04/2025 07:42

The flower duet

Don’t know that song but ours was the theme from true romance.

Ours too!

Are you me???

Both of these!

I would have had the Toccata if we'd had a church wedding and knew a decent organist. With good acoustics it's sublime 😍

PigInADuvet · 02/04/2025 07:52

I wanted grow old with me (Ton Odell) but there's a line in it which lyrics wise is fine but sounds like something it's not and I couldn't bear to play it with my elderly grandparents and my parents there so went for Jack Johnson instead 😆

Vettrianofan · 02/04/2025 07:53

No idea. Some random piece of music at the registry office.

SparklyGlitterballs · 02/04/2025 07:54

I'm ancient and it was in church so had the traditional (then) wedding march.

Iknowaboutpopular · 02/04/2025 07:56

Church wedding. Walked in to the Arrival of the Queen of Sheba. Walked out to Hall and Oates, You make my dreams come true. First dance was Eric Clapton Wonderful Tonight.

GrumpySparkler · 02/04/2025 07:58

Walking down the aisle I had "Married Life" by Michael Giacchino. It's the instrumental piece at the start of the Disney film Up!

Coming out we had "Pencil Full of Lead" by Paolo Nutini, but I wanted "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" by The Darkness.

OneQuirkyPanda · 02/04/2025 07:59

Walked in to Ludovico Einaudi- Il Giorni, walked out to Max Richter- Spring 1.

Crackery · 02/04/2025 08:00

The Forrest Gump theme tune- listen to it… it’s beautiful!

Wonderwoman98 · 02/04/2025 08:04

You’re still the one, by Shania Twain. We got engaged at 21 and married 23 years later aged 44.

Soph47gwt7 · 02/04/2025 08:06

ACDC highway to hell. Not even joking

Meadowflower2023 · 02/04/2025 08:06

John Legend's All of Me, I love and wanted pachelbels canon in D but it always makes me cry for some reason so went with John instead.

We got married in an Irish wood two years ago. I came down the "aisle" to the theme tune from The Detectorists. It was a beautiful hot and sunny day in late May and it was magical

The Johnny Flynn song? Beautiful choice.
