I'm not sure about this, I was given a few weeks to live but responded very well to drug treatment so pulled through. It can be quite startling to hear.

Sadly I don't think we'll ever hear an accurate account of her

Of course it happens that people are in a position where doctors think they might die and they recover. However the recovery normally takes some time, she was discharged before the anticipated death date.

ThinkTink · 09/04/2025 08:05

@marcopront I think she needs to stay out of the 'spotlight' for a while, she doesn't sound in a good place

Exactly. We all know stories from our own lives when someone was told they were unlikely to get better only to go on and make a full recovery. However that usually takes years with continued time in hospital. Not discharged after a few days.

@marcopront Uncertain diagnosis, post accident confusion, different doctors opinion, extra tests showing new information, etc.

HoppingPavlova · 09/04/2025 11:56

The WA Health system played this really well. They can’t comment on individual cases obviously, but made some general comment in response to reporters asking about an individual in care who matched the blurb given in the social media post (no name). Their statement indicated no individual within the WA system matching this description. That was pretty quick after the post. Everyone knew exactly who they were referring to. As to the ‘must have been mistaken due to confusion from the accident’, the police have pretty much squashed that angle given no accident occurred with a bus that would have resulted in such injuries. Then add in the coincidental timing of being due to face court.

ThinkTink · 09/04/2025 12:02

I feel quite sorry for her and hope she is having good care

I read the evidence. Try it.

I wasn’t aware it was available tbh

Dustyblue · 11/04/2025 05:03

I agree with many posters- people simple are not told you have 4 days. My Dad died a few months ago whilst on dialysis but with complicating cardiac issues. Basically every time he had dialysis his blood pressure would drop to the point he'd go into cardiac arrest. At no point was he given a date of death, everyone kept trying.

Eventually the best doctors couldn't manage both the kidney & heart issues & he died in an ambulance.

I agree Virginia is in a bad place psychologically but her flippancy on this pisses me off.

Quite, you might get the ‘it won’t be long now, get the family together’ message, but to tell someone coherent enough to be posting on social media that they have 4 days is just odd. I wonder if she was told that without treatment she would only have a few days.

Dustyblue · 12/04/2025 03:01

I tend to think she's conflating several issues and basically trying to get attention. The fact that her kids & ex husband are estranged and legal processes are at play is likely a factor.

I feel for anyone in a dark psychological space but at the same time she bores me with her narcissism.

Bigcat25 · 26/04/2025 02:30

Rest in peace.

Itsagreatdaytosavelives · 26/04/2025 02:38

@Bigcat25 have you a link?

Itsagreatdaytosavelives · 26/04/2025 02:42

just found it

Thenewmeisthesameastheoldme · 26/04/2025 02:47

I’m just seeing now that she has died at home

Dustyblue · 26/04/2025 03:27

Oh jeez, so she really was in a bad place mentally.

How terrible for her 3 kids.

She was on the road to recovery.

I'm not convinced she died completely alone.

What do you mean @Gardeninging ?

That is twisted

Dustyblue · 26/04/2025 04:51

Her family released a statement saying she 'lost her life to suicide'.

I'd say that's pretty conclusive.

Conspiracy theorists know better, it is one way of putting it

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 26/04/2025 06:02

Poor woman. Congratulations to the spite merchants.

TheAutumnCrow · 26/04/2025 06:23

I think there may be a few spiteful social media commenters and You Tubers feeling a bit awkward today.

Unfortunately, I think they’ll get over it extremely quickly.

Dustyblue · 26/04/2025 06:33

I don't know which 'road to recovery' @Gardeninging meant, but it was pretty clear since the bus incident that her mental health was dire. I guess some people in that state use social media as a narcissistic cry for help, perhaps.

Whatever people think of her & Epstein/PA, she's not had an easy life & a 41 y/old woman with 3 teenage kids killing themselves is tragic.

TheAutumnCrow · 26/04/2025 06:37

The Mail account seems conclusive and sympathetic (for now).

There was an especially awful You Tube posted up this past week - I didn’t watch it, just saw the title - which seemed very venomous about her. I suppose it just all gets too much in the end, on top of family estrangement.

I do wonder if it’ll be open season against her and her memory, life and times now, after the obligatory day or so of ‘respectful behaviour’ from the various social media commenters on the various royal family members.

The world is so fucked up.
