The main thing I don't understand is why she was in a predator relationship at aged 13 if I remember correctly, prior to JE. I mean where were her family?

Surely people understand shit families?
i mean, parents actually murder their kids right? How can you not understand neglect?

I sort of do and I don't. I mean where were authorities? I just feel that any child should be protected. Perhaps I'm naive

It can be a whole host of reasons, as with anyone else groomed, parents that don’t care, parents that don’t know, being encouraged to keep it secret, meeting with friends and what not but not really. Authorities have to know and even then sometimes don’t care, see rotheram

Well it was the 90s. Child protection really wasn’t that great then. She lived in a deprived area of Florida. In the states if you moved around a lot you weren’t tracked across states. Plus having relationships with old men probably wasn’t even considered that big of a deal back then, in terms of child protection

Tomatotater · 04/04/2025 21:14

Her father was the one driving her to Epstein wasn't he?

Not really sure; a fair few of us have been through childhood experiences so I'm sorry for commenting.

You were a Social worker in Florida in the 90s? What a coincidence

I don’t think it’s in the interests of most legal systems to prosecute victims of grooming and modern slavery for grooming others as part of their ordeal.

we didn’t, for example, prosecute the girls in the Rochdale etc grooming gangs who did

But we did persecute them in other ways one was pregnant the social worker went to the prison to see if he wanted to exercise his parental rights...on a child he forced into another child that was apparently another "lessons will be learned" moment and apparently the social worker was doing their best in a bad situation so we have

A rape victim whose life is in turmoil
A man who did this too her
An innocent child

Can you imagine parents evening "who do we have here? This is my mum and this is my mums abuser"

Fucks sake

She has lived in Perth for years with her husband and family. I think her husband is Australian. They are now estranged and she is up in court soon for breaching her VRO.

Yes this is correct, it’s not far from my family’s home and I knew from them she lived there.

Viviennemary · 06/04/2025 08:58

So she didn't have 4 days to live. Does that mean she lied?

Why change the habit of a lifetime? Of course she lied. It's what she does..

We don’t know anything. The doesn’t mean that Andrew’s supporters won’t impugn her at every turn.

We know she said she had 4 days to live and then got discharged from hospital alive.
That suggests she is at the very least flexible with the truth sometimes.

She/her brother now seem to be saying that she didn't really say the bus caused her "injuries" and alleging DV from her husband. Claims he can't respond to publically because of legal proceedings..

It becomes clearer and clearer why she wasn't a prosecution witness for the Maxwell trial

Jeffrey Epstein Accuser Virginia Giuffre Leaves Hospital After Crash: Why Brother Says Accident 'Saved Her Life'

Giuffre, 41, has alleged that her husband Robert has physically abused her.

I don't see any Andrew "supporters" anywhere?

Incidents like this don't enhance her credibility however, but he has none either tbf!

Technically, I don't think she DID say it but it was so heavily implied that trying to weasel her way out on such a technicality is eye-rollingly bad form.

As for saying she had only 4 days to live, I wanna see how she explains her way out of that one.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 08/04/2025 22:26

I'm not sure about this, I was given a few weeks to live but responded very well to drug treatment so pulled through. It can be quite startling to hear.

Sadly I don't think we'll ever hear an accurate account of her

There’s a difference between days and weeks though. Drug treatment has a lot longer to take effect.

Also, if you were given four days to live then your state of health would show that. They’ve thought on more than one occasion that I might not make it through the night. Oddly enough I wasn’t quite coherent (or attention seeking) enough to plaster the fact all over social media.

Four days is very specific. And yet she seemed to be posting on instagram, along with details of what was going to kill her - kidney failure - you’d think someone who was that internet savvy would have thought to do their research.

It doesn’t really matter what people think of Andrew at this point. There’s no doubt that he’s a sleaze, but that doesn’t make her right. Sometimes bad things happen to bad people. And no, sleeping with Andrew at 17 isn’t going to have shaped her into a compulsive liar and attention seeker, just before anyone suggests that she was damaged by her experience in order to justify this behaviour.

ThinkTink · 09/04/2025 05:01

@Never2many i'm sorry to hear you've been through similar. Mine was an unexpected infection.

Andrew was incredibly arrogant but i haven't read exact details about why Virginia was in hospital or what she said
