Zelensky - feeling quite sad

I know that there are several threads about him, but I’ve watched the interview again today.
I don’t know what’s made me feel more sad - how exhausted and disappointed he looked, the fact that English isn’t his first language and it must have been hard to speak, let alone speak whilst being verbally attacked, or the suit question.
When the war is over, I want to buy that man the best suit money can buy!
How can anyone kick someone when they are so down anyway.

You know Biden is just 4 years older than Trump, right? If you wanted a young person you could have voted Kamala.

I saw a clip of Trump speaking to camera sometime after the interview. He said he wanted peace quickly and that he cared about all of the Ukrainian and Russian soldiers who were dying. And he feared that giving more support to Ukraine would "embolden" Zelenskyy to keep on fighting.

What about emboldening Putin to keep on fighting? Presumably, Trump doesn't see that as a problem.

Zelenskyy always wears military garb; he wants to remind everyone that Ukraine's (still) at war. It would have been super weird for him to have made one exception to go to the White House (which doesn't have a dress code anyway).

Trump always comments inappropriately on people's clothing/appearance; it's his shtick. Remember him brushing stuff off of Macron?

I don’t feel sorry for him at all. He didn’t realise his country now is just a small piece on the chess board which is going to be sacrificed by player for better position / or even worse — a dish on the table to be shared between American and Russian( Europe is not invited although they participated in cooking ). When you are a neighbour to a country like Russia, and you are warned not to join NATO， why would you be so naive to think America will help you? Canada didn’t threaten an actual war nor did he turn to Russia, when America started a trade war.Be realistic!

Kamala was hardly convincing either, in her defence she'd been thrown in with hardly any time to go as they pulled Biden far too late. But neither of them were getting people to the polling booth. Unfortunately the orange peril was.

I actually think, having seen the interviews that Vance would be worse than Trump.

I have to say that while I agree with the sentiment of your post, I disagree that Zelensky looked beaten. Shocked by the attack on him, but definitely not beaten.

It really was an embarrassing, vile and nasty attack where the bullies lured their 'attempted' victim in for the kill. Unfortunately for the two inept bozos, Zelensky is a far better statesman and human being. I also don't think you understand just what this shitshow has done on a global scale. News outlets are now being 'chosen' and OH is on the way to controlling ALL media so I wouldn't put any stock in the narrative OH puts out there.
There is absolutely NO doubt that OH is in bed with Putin. None at all. The WHOLE WORLD knows this. Sure there are always minorities who will fall at the feet of OrangeHitler and not believe anything else but they just look dumb tbh

Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons on the basis of a number of political assurances that gives them every right to expect those countries involved to intervene when their sovereignty is attacked. Not to mention that now, any number of countries will be wondering what the point of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty is.
Let's not forget what happened when the League of Nations couldn't be fucked doing it's actual job.

Ukraine is of immense strategic importance to the west. Like the US believes Israel is.
