Zelensky - feeling quite sad

I know that there are several threads about him, but I’ve watched the interview again today.
I don’t know what’s made me feel more sad - how exhausted and disappointed he looked, the fact that English isn’t his first language and it must have been hard to speak, let alone speak whilst being verbally attacked, or the suit question.
When the war is over, I want to buy that man the best suit money can buy!
How can anyone kick someone when they are so down anyway.

Trump ribbed him about his attire when he greeted him but it was a journalist who brought it up in the meeting. Zelinsky was there to sign the mineral agreement and he should have stuck to that and discussed other concerns privately. It was Trump and Vance who were ambushed

True, a fair and valid point, but as at present they don't, this is where we are. The news folder is similar, little traffic, and bigger stories get put on places they're not quite suited for, but more people see them. I'm not sure what the solution is.

I too feel sad and unsettled - I had to turn the tv off for the live feed but have watched it since. Very disturbing.
Trump and Vance are just awful and I hope the King rethinks his invite. Americans must be so proud - not.
I really don’t get the suit business and why it’s such an issue. His country has been invaded and is at war and he’s representing his people by wearing a modified military dress. He looks great.
Trumps baseball cap looks ridiculous but at least he’s not wearing it backwards ….. yet!

I am a swing voter and will vote for who I think is the best candidate during any given election cycle. Harris was a big NO but I would consider voting for someone like Mark Kelly if he had been the democratic nominee but he wasn’t because the democrats kept pushing senile Joe Biden on us.

the whole suit debate it’s the kind of thing that misses the forest for the trees. Zelensky is doing exactly what a wartime leader should projecting strength, unity, and resolve. His modified military dress is a symbol of his role, the urgency of his position, and the fight his country is waging. It’s not about fashion it’s about purpose.

Vance is a shit-stirring bully. Two men against one. I do not understand their logic when everyone knows that Ukraine is being attacked. At the end of the day Trump and Vance showed themselves up big style. Trump is only motivated by money (the mineral deal) and status (that appalling A.I video of his vision for Gaza with the gold trump statue is beyond belief). They should have conducted their talks behind close doors. Zelensky handled himself with class. I also believe that Putin has something on Trump.

That i can understand but then it also causes the pickle because when you get the sub sections you dont get the same traffic and hence then people use the chat and Aibu etc to get it generated.

Although this is about politics, my post was about compassion for someone who looks beaten.

Trump and Vance are behaving like kindergarten bullies on glue.

It does make me wonder what Putin has on them for them to be behaving like this. They surely must know how they looked to the entire world when they ambushed Zelensky - like absolute fuckwits.

It also makes me wonder if they are going to hand the mineral concessions right to Putin if they get them.
It’s more than arrogant, unclassy posturing - they are definitely puppets.

The US security services must be looking at the ‘Kennedy option’ as the solution to this. Because if they don’t come up with a solution, the orange bastard will try and overthrow the 4 year rule and January 6th at the Capitol will look like a Sunday school picnic compared to what he incites next. Maybe that’s why he’s cozying up to Putin, he’s getting Russian support on how to become an actual dictator!
