Think my neighbour is seeing 2 guys at the same time

Neighbourwoes2 · 18/02/2025 22:30

I've seen 2 different guys visit my female neighbours house regularly in the last month. I'm assuming she's sleeping with them as it's in the evening. Not sure if they know about each other..
Should I say anything to them? Or would that be ridiculous?

Depending on your situation, yes I'd say something. I'd subtly let the best looking one know I'd be up for a bit of how's your father.

Alternatively, if neither are your cup of tea or you're not that way inclined, would you mind asking how she manages. Asking for a friend. She could do an AMA. Call it public service

EllipsisSynopsis · 19/02/2025 02:00

@Neighbourwoes2 how's your embroidery, do you have any scarlet thread to hand?

TheIvyRestaurant · 19/02/2025 02:04

Neighbourwoes2 · 18/02/2025 22:38

Ok so it wouldn't bother any of you then?

No of course not. Why does it bother you?

CalicoPusscat · 19/02/2025 02:31

@stonefromthehenge I haven't heard the phrase 'how's your father' in years 😆

Ha.

My neighbour has been doing a bit of curtain twitching lately. (Amateur! My mum could do it better...)

I'm a widow and she's seen me being picked up by a "strange man".

On Sunday evening, she finally asked me whether I was going to the shops as I left my house (slightly) dressed up.

"No," I answered truthfully, "my cousin is taking me to church." (I'm not religious, but it's a way of getting out of the house and having a bit of company.)

Things are not always what they seem - and it's none of your business, OP.

Churches aren't open Sunday evenings. RUMBLED! Brazen hussy. 🤭

I don’t spend much time watching my neighbours comings and goings. I doubt I’d even notice…

They might not be having any how's your father. They might be having some jiggery-pokery. Or some rumpy-pumpy. Or some hanky-panky. Or they might be piercing the hogshead. You never know.

Eviebeans · 19/02/2025 03:05

Unless the two men are your sons or your husband and brother you don’t need to say a word.
The two men may think they are her one and only and be devastated if they knew or may know about each other and not care less. either way this comes under the heading of “not your problem”
mind your own beeswax

ThisFluentBiscuit · 19/02/2025 03:05

I can't understand what leg the OP thinks she has to stand on. It's hardly illegal to have two male visitors. Even if she had a rotating cast of ten FWBs, what on earth does the OP think she could do about it? It's not illegal to have visitors!

Or is she getting at the women possibly charging for sex? Is that where all this is coming from? She did say OK, maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick (paraphrasing) when others said the men could be anyone.

I only clicked on this to read the comments. They didn’t disappoint!

UnpropitiousNightmares · 19/02/2025 03:13

It's mind boggling to me that your mind has not only automatically jumped to this conclusion but furthermore had a possible plan of action!

BlondiePortz · 19/02/2025 03:30

So which one is the original and which is the one being cheated on, if this is actually happening

So which would you tackle first?

Perhaps a come hither look would be sufficient as opposed to "tackling?" 😉

mjf981 · 19/02/2025 04:04

Please say something to her/them.
And then please please report back with what the response was. I'll be on tenterhooks here 😁

Moodypony · 18/02/2025 22:32

Oh, definitely say something.

😀🙌🏻

Rubiesareforeveryeah · 19/02/2025 06:02

Are you missing out?

I suppose getting some tackle out may move things along?

BigHeadBertha · 19/02/2025 06:11

Once I had a neighbor who we called "Church Lady" (after the character on the old Saturday Night Live show in the US). She tattled on me to my husband when I stepped outside and smoked two cigarettes, after I was supposed to have given them up.

Then she tried to make me cut my grass because her parents were coming to visit and she didn't think my yard looked tidy enough to please them.

I bet she'd know how to handle this...

StarlightLady · 19/02/2025 06:13

Neighbourwoes2 · 18/02/2025 23:49

Ok apologies, I've obviously jumped to conclusions, just thought they might not like it if they don't know about each other. I will just forget about it.

The right decision.

For starters, you don’t know what is going on, secondly it is nothing to do with anyone else. Finally not everyone is in or wants to be in a monogamous relationship. She might be dating.

l have quite a few male visitors but l don’t shag them all. But keep tweaking the curtains you might catch them both staying over on the same night. 😉

Petuniaspetal · 19/02/2025 06:37

Holy moses, I've had 2 male friends call to see me, I'm single, not sleeping with and no intention of.

While this is probably great gossip fodder among the neighbours I would mmob.

🤯 What a cheek! I am a very regular scrubber thank you very much. I put my heart and soul into being a scrubber 🤯

hoiks bosom

(so, I just want to check, it’s just the one man you’ve seen in my house, right?)

Could you do some scrubbing at my house please. I'll warn the neighbours that another woman will be entering the house, just in case...
