For me, it has to be thongs, bodies that fasten with those tiny poppers underneath, and false eyelashes.

Dressing from head to toe in black like youngsters do . They look like clones . They need colour in their lives .

About 90% of my wardrobe is black - yay, I'm cool again.

(Although according to my nephew, I've never been cool, and he's probably right, tbf.)

As opposed to wet robes? What are these, towelling dressing gowns?

They are very roomy , made of fluffy material inside, waterproof outer. They are long with large arm holes. Designed to go on over a wetsuit of swimsuit after an outdoor swim in cold water. They are made to be roomy enough to peel your wetsuit off underneath, and to keep you warm either in your swim stuff or while you get dressed, on a freezing beach. Very nice and cosy if you go into cold water, dd has one and says it is great (we live near the sea).

Animal print of any kind. It looks better on the animal.
False anything.
Cropped tops.
Tight pulled back hair up styles.
Contouring.

UnctuousUnicorns · 31/01/2025 13:33

Should have mentioned thongs/g strings. Any undergarment that treats the concept of chewing cloth as desirable, really. I still haven't forgotten, as a teenager in the late 80s, accidentally (that'll learn me to check more carefully) buying a pair of pants with only half an arse to them. Tried on once, couldn't fathom why anyone would wish to wear pants that felt as if they were on a mission to disappear up ones rectum. Said monstrosity was swiftly consigned to the back of my undies drawer, and later disposed of. Never again.

Comedycook · 31/01/2025 13:34

Tattoos...I find them disgusting.

Auburngal · 31/01/2025 14:37

Oh the b!tch bun. The higher and tighter the bun, the bigger the b!tch someone is. Plus they have an attitude problem.

GroovyChick87 · 31/01/2025 14:41

Face piercings, tattoos and them leggings that go up the bum crack. I think they're indecent. I've got a good shaped arse but I don't want the general public to know what it looks like naked and I don't want to see anyone else's.

GroovyChick87 · 31/01/2025 14:43

And Dry Robes. I don't want to look like a little peahead with a whale sized body.

Is it a bit akin to the Fulchester facelift?

😅 To be fair, I'm not sure DryRobes were ever intended to actually look stylish or flattering on anyone.

Pokemum24 · 31/01/2025 14:54

Paper bag trousers. no thanks.

I know but at the school I see so many people wearing them in all weathers, paired with Crocs. Hideous.

TheChosenTwo · 31/01/2025 15:10

Loafers - I just hate them so much.
Banana (? Is that what I mean?!) jeans. Just have the silhouette of having ricketts. Baffling.

Aye, that's what daft, people treating specialist gear as everyday "fashion" wear. And to think I used to complain about tracksuits and similar sportswear being worn on the street! 🤷‍♀️

lovelysunshine22 · 31/01/2025 15:16

Tattooed eyebrows they always look shit after a while.
Big fake lashes....looks so cheap and nasty
Ditto long pointed nails with nail art
Matching loungewear being worn outside the house, reminds me Bet Lynch for some reason

Those earrings that stretch the piercing hole, they make me feel queasy.

Yep they make me feel sick too. They stink apparently 🤮

scalt · 31/01/2025 15:29

Sliders and socks; I think it's funny and sad in equal measure when I see armies of loitering teenagers, and they all are in sliders and socks.

My teenage crowd all wore trainers without socks in the spring and summer, in the 90s - trainer socks were for wimps.

Westfacing · 31/01/2025 15:57

Recently in a restaurant, the waiter who served us bent forwards to take the order, he had big round earings in the lobe, I could actually see the wall behind him through the hole.

😂

Oh gosh really? I put my hair in a really high bun the other day as I couldn't do a sodding thing with it. I thought it looked nice 🤨

PrincessHoneysuckle · 31/01/2025 16:16

Wide jeans.make people's legs look huge

PrincessHoneysuckle · 31/01/2025 16:18

anotherusername2001 · 30/01/2025 16:56

I remember wearing the bodies in the late 80s. It was a nightmare trying to do the poppers up very drunk!

Agree with most of the above but I do think wide legged trousers (not ridiculously wide though) look quite good if you're reasonably slim. Much more flattering than skinnies..

You move it to one side so don't have to undo the poppers

Travail · 31/01/2025 16:29

NRTFT but, as ever, even on page two, this seems to have morphed into;

'Things I would like to judge women that aren't me for'.

Plus ça change.

StormingNorman · 31/01/2025 17:44

Cardigan coats. I love them but the do not love me. I look 2st heavier in them.

Athleisure, especially in beige and neutral tones.
