Tattle Life rebrand

Crap forum Tattle Life has changed overnight into 8Cafe.

8Cafe

Hate Cafe

Geddit?!

Nothing says 'I have nothing to hide' quite like changing the whole name and domain of your website.

The man who hides behind this pathetic hate forum (who Olivia Attwood met in real life and described as ugly...exactly what you think a troll would look like) needs to be put in prison for what he has done.

His website has caused at least one suicide that I know of. If he is so proud of it, he should be out there in public giving interviews about it.

Looks like they're still thinking about the name change.

The TV and Mumsnet threads are great. I don't look at any others because they aren't of interest, I don't care what some random Tik Tok personality is up to today, but if people want to gossip about that, knock themselves out.

All internet fora/social media have intense and obsessive people who go too far - MN, Reddit, Facebook etc all have their share of snark.

If you think Tattle (or whatever it's called now) is unethical, maybe don't contribute to the traffic by checking it frequently.

GoopLoopSoop · 21/01/2025 19:33

Name changed obviously.

I’ve got threads about me and my family on tattle. I’ve been suicidal over it. They don’t give a shit. The amount of lies on there about me are ridiculous.

Who has committed suicide over it? It needs to be shut down. I don’t see any helpful discussions. Just hate, body shaming, homophobia and more.

Presumably if you have threads about your family on there you put your family in the public eye? Are you an ‘influencer’ ?

blownawaybyit · 21/01/2025 20:54

The mumsnet threads are hilarious and my favourite. They cut right through the BS that gets spouted by some people here.

Competitive hygiene, teeny tinies arguing over who can eat the least and STILL be full, no/low carb obsessives. It's got it all.

The Mumsnet ones are often quite pathetic. Nothing to say? Slam a Mumsnet dieter/mentalist/troll

To each their own and all that.

Dextybooboo · 21/01/2025 21:02

Love tattle. I got drawn in with all the Lauren Goodman stuff. I like how they evidence everything from her own posts. However as other people have said, some become quite obsessed and I find it a bit odd.

ShaunaSadeki · 21/01/2025 21:07

Oh I really thought registration was open and dashed over there. Agree that people on here are generally nastier than over there

Newyearnewmewoooop · 21/01/2025 21:08

So is it just a myth that someone killed themselves because of it?

FiveTreeHill · 21/01/2025 21:14

rainythursdayontheavenue · 21/01/2025 19:55

I've been members of both forums for some time now, and I've never had the rudeness on Tattle that I've had on here. Users are generally much more respectful of difference of opinions.

The Katie Price threads are the only ones I've found very cliquey (and nasty to outsiders) but I've learned so much about instagramers and reality stars. The gofundme scammers thread is an eye opener to say the least.

Most tattle users have a full on breakdown if you question the absolute shit they post

The reason it's 'politer' is because your not supposed to disagree with someone's post.

You really think that posters on a hate site. A site with whole threads designed to post whatever shit you feel about a celebrity or an influencer, unquestioned, are less nasty than MN?

Some threads on tattle are reasonable but many are full of absolute vile stuff, and people that are way too invested into strangers lives. They don't need to be nasty to each other, its literally a whole site designed to beable to post nasty opinions about people. Threads where you literally arnt allowed to post positive opinions or disagree with posters comments

I have enjoyed some of the threads about celebrity news, but even then after a few threads it gets pretty depressing

FiveTreeHill · 21/01/2025 21:19

Although having said the above, if you are a celebrity or influencer it would basically be self harm to read your tattle thread

It's going to have nasty, unpleasant opinions about you. That is the point of the site.

HeffalumpsAndWoozlesAreHoneyRobbingTwats · 21/01/2025 21:23

I don't know how Becky Jones does it. I really don't.

Can I ask a question?

Why do you care about lauryn goodman enough to need to read evidence on her? You don't know her. She's essentially a nobody. What is the motivation behind reading threads on her? Like surely once you realised you don't like her you'd just unfollow?

People always act like tattle 'exposing' influencers is community service but I think a lot of people realise whatevers been exposed quite quickly and just dont watch that person's content. They don't need to build up a dossier of evidence to prove that random influencers wrongdoing

Disagreements are deleted though. Have you ever read the Tattle Reddit sub? They take the bitching over there where it's not censored.

CountingDownToSummer · 21/01/2025 21:29

I know someone irl who has multiple threads on Tattle.
What is posted on Tattle is far more honest and truthful about them compared what they actually post on their TikTok account.
I haven't posted on Tattle or looked at any other threads so my knowledge of the site is limited but I can say what Tattle post about this person is the truth

Can you imagine monitoring Mumsnet, tattle AND reddit? Fucking hell I would die of anxiety and over stimulation.

Dextybooboo · 21/01/2025 21:33

I've always liked celebs. Was a big ok reader back in the day. Enjoyed watched Katie Price's rise to fame. It's all light hearted for me, I don't take it seriously. I just enjoy reading about it.

I find the Lauren Goodman stuff interesting because she is very malicious in what she does and outs herself time and time again. I actually don't care about her, just find it interesting to read. I don't get all the people who rave about Kyle's wife. Or the ones who think they had sex twice. Doesn't do anyone any harm. Lauren is trying to be a celeb so she needs the exposure.

aperolspritzbasicbitch · 21/01/2025 21:34

I think part of the appeal of tattle is that influencers DO read their own threads - so even though you can't pull them up on their absolute shit on their own posts, because they'll just delete and block, you can express your feelings towards their behaviour on tattle where they can see it, and others can see it, and they can do absolutely nothing about it.

If influencers were more genuine and upfront I don't think tattle would be as big as it is.

Dextybooboo · 21/01/2025 21:35

Also I don't read evidence about Lauren on tattle. I follow her on social media where she posts it. Tattle just reshares what she posts.

MN has it's faults but at least it's not a circle jerk of agreement for fear of getting banned for having a different opinion.

I’d like to know if that statement is true, as well. I think it might not be.

It's changed back to Tattle Life 😅
