What is the most miserable biscuit in existence?

DH and I are not eating sweet stuff for January and today he commented that he was so fed up with it he would even want to eat a really crap biscuit, so we were debating what that would be.

He reckoned the worst biscuit would be a Nice biscuit, but I think I would much rather eat one of those than a Garibaldi.

Is there a biscuit even more disappointing, that you would be less likely to accept an offer of than a Garibaldi biscuit?

Nooo! Taste good on their own, in chocolate form, as a cheesecake base or with a nice bit of cheese, what's not to like other than the white chocolate ones ??

It is indeed! One of my favourite albums by one of my favourite bands

Great taste in both pink wafer biscuits and music! Grin

Oreos, as a PP suggested.

I came to say Rich Tea. The most miserable biscuit and the most disappointing to see when you are offered biscuits. Try dipping them in your tea as well, they are rubbish at that despite their name.

soupfiend · 18/01/2025 16:08

Has anyone mentioned the biscoff ones.

They promise so much, individually wrapped, accompanying a coffee while out, continental type appearance. But then crumbly nothing.

@CurryandSnuggle
Seriously? Party rings are magical in my opinion. They help me with my migraines. The pink and yellow ones are particularly effective.
Can't believe you don't like party rings. I have an emergency packet by my bed in case migraine strikes at night.

Do you swallow them whole with a glass of water?

I always think of rich tea as the biscuit equivalent of dwarf bread.

noblegiraffe · 18/01/2025 16:12

Party rings you put upside down on your tongue and the icing dissolves in a most satisfactory way.

I love a rich tea, though the fingers are somehow superior to the round ones, especially when dipped in tea or coffee (and I also love a Morning Coffee, though most people would find them dull).

Worst biscuit is definitely a Garibaldi or a Fig Roll - the latter's just a big chunk of mush - bleurgh.

I'm struggling to come up with a biscuit I don't like.....which is why I am the size that I am

What's with the Bourbon hatred here? They are the King of Biscuits.

I wouldn't even touch one with my bare hands.

wlv12 · 18/01/2025 16:17

Rich teas are a waste of good calories!

Oaties. I'd rather eat cardboard.

DisforDarkChocolate · 18/01/2025 16:18

When have you been sniffing hamsters?

Justleaveitblankthen · 18/01/2025 16:20

Oreos are horrendous.
Are they the only biscuit available in the US? 🤔.. and why have they infiltrated everything from ice cream to canned drinks? 🤨
The biscuits I hated as a child I now like.
Wagon wheels and Bourbons in particular. Custard creams are too sicky sweet though, so still a hard pass.

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 18/01/2025 16:23

Oreos remind me of charcoal biscuits. The kind you eat to stop you farting dramatically. They are therefore known as the 'Anti-Fart Biscuit' in this house. Putting filling inside them doesn't help as the filling tastes of slime.

TheDefiant · 18/01/2025 16:24

Rich tea biscuits are in my top 3 favourite biscuits!!! Love them.

Rich tea. Not worth the calories

Put some spready cheese on them.

Water41 · 18/01/2025 16:28

Gluten free custard creams. Like eating drywall.

AdaColeman · 18/01/2025 16:33

Oreos, gritty sludge or possibly sludgy grit.

Viennese whirls are my favourite.

My mother once gave us and the boys next door cream crackers with jam. The boys licked the jam off, thanked my mother ncely and said she could now have her "wee boards" back.
