Are your kids awake yet?

DS(5) has been awake over an hour. After half an hour or so he came into bed with us (so he doesn't wake his smaller sibling) and we're categorically not doing gifts for at least two more hours. But, he cannot sleep.

It's going to be a long day!!

DD (7) is still asleep, it’s a Christmas miracle! I feel like I’ve had a lie in.

I did this a few years when my daughter was little. I was up at 5 as I was excited to see her excitement. Merry Christmas everyone I hope everyone has their own idea of the perfect day

DS (almost 12) is still asleep and will be for another hour or so id say. I woke up at 6 needing a wee, listening out for the floorboards creaking!

My DH thought it would be nice to trail fairy lights from the kids room down the stairs…: Really sweet but the light woke my eldest up at 1am and he’s been asking to come down every 30 mins. I finally caved at 5.30 🤣 Knackered!!

I will start making a bacon butty in about half an hour for me to see if that will entice them out of bed ... Otherwise we will be late for Christmas dinner at my MIL. One got home from work at 3 this morning... I will pack blankets and pillows for the car.

Mine (10 and 7) woke at 12 and it took me an hour of sitting in their rooms to get them to go back to sleep. Both woke again at 6.30 and have opened their stockings which seems to have sated them as they are high playing Roblox with no mention of going downstairs yet. I'm taking that as a win whilst I enjoy a coffee in bed.

Everyone is still sleeping here except me, woke at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep....thanks menopause!

Excited for my 11 year olds to wake up!!

My 3 year old isn’t and she’s been asleep since 5pm yesterday 😳😂 I’m just sat waiting for her dad to arrive with more presents as I assume we will have to wake her up at this point😂

Eldest dd never got in till 2 when the pubs closed. Could still hear ds moving about his room at 12.30, not sure when DD2 went to sleep. I'm not sure when they will wake up as no one set alarms.

DS 14 and DS 12 still fast asleep - always awake before 7 in the last - reckon they'll be up within the hour though . Happy Christmas all

DD1 (15) will wake any time now, come downstairs and chat with me.

At 8 we will wake DD2 (12) and my ex husband.

We've had this routine for years, and my ex only learnt last night that me and the eldest always wake earlier than them and then wake them both up 🤣

Teenagers just woke up. Youngest is still asleep, I imagine she’ll wake within the next hour. She’s a great sleeper but i did wonder if she’d be up earlier then normal, but seems not!

My oldest is still asleep. He's 3. I'm laying awake next to a sleeping baby waiting for 7:30

DS (6), DH and my gran who is staying all still asleep!!

Mine (4) isn't awake. The last one up here opens the first present so she is trying to be the last up!!

Love the fart whistle story! 😂It’s just me and the cat here. I’ve heard the next door neighbour’s kids running up and down the stairs. On the other side, they have relatives staying in a camper van on their drive and heard them going in and out the house. Love hearing this excitement of the little ones.
Mine are all teenagers and eldest came back from a party and was throwing up at 1pm so he might be a while yet!
Just having a coffee sat by the tree.

7 woke up at half 5 and did a lot of going to the loo, looking out the window etc and concluded it was still night time. Tossed and turned in my bed for an hour but is sleeping again now. I hear 3 started to stir so we’ll be up soon i think. I’m busting for the loo and need to get the turkey out of the fridge!

I'm the only one awake here. Mine are teens though. Happy Christmas everyone!

No one up except me and the animals here. Have to be within an hour or so as we have to go visiting late morning.

I miss the days of excited early wake ups and all presents open before 7am. Mine are teenagers now and I usually get bored and wake them up around 9. But oldest is going to his gf for dinner this year and says we have to be up by 8:30 so he has time to get ready.

DS1 (4) woke at 5am asking if Santa had been, luckily he did go back to sleep!

DS2 (20m) is awake but cuddling me in bed.

Expecting DS1 to wake any time now and make a beeline for the Christmas Tree!

Yep, mine up at 4am. Told him to go back to bed. I went back to sleep until our usual wake up of 5. Bet your bottom dollar he didn't.

That said, most of my Christmas dinner prep is now done...

The littlest is still asleep!! Biggun been SO patient. We're giving her till 730 then the gloves are off.

Mine are teens so still asleep. I also just put their presents out even though they were awake and filled stockings in my room so got to sleep at a half decent time.

Stockings went by bedroom doors when I woke for a 2am wee
