Say about £7mil?

My first purchase of luxury, that I would be able to do immediately, would be some gorgeous Chanel sunglasses. .

Then a parajumpers coat.

Then new teeth.

Then the farm house etc.

It's my favourite maladaptive daydream.

See if i could find a dentist that wound put me to sleep to remove my fillings and re do them in white, plus any other work needed while i was unconscious. Terrified of dental work.

NatalieH2220 · 22/12/2024 20:52

I'd book a trip to take my boys to Disney Florida

Then a new house once we're back 👌

SaltAirDoorRust · 22/12/2024 20:53

I’m not sure about first thing, that would probably be a takeaway, but in the first week of receiving funds I’d invest into my business so I could grow it more successfully and employ more people. In that same week I’d also book a holiday.

We are in the middle of a house purchase and I’d actually stick with the same house but instead of a scary mortgage we are stretching on, I’d be able to buy cash, and actually do all the renovations it needs!

Ilovemyshed · 22/12/2024 20:53

A new car & a driveway to put it on.
Tell hubby we can retire
A live in carer for MIL so she can stay in her home
Sort out some friends to make their life easier
Go to a lux health farm to detox and kickstart a healthier lifestyle.
Help some people
Live and enjoy

ShadowsOfTheDays · 22/12/2024 20:56

The URL for the business I wish I could build, which I have already named in my head.

Echobelly · 22/12/2024 20:59

Decent car probably. Nothing fancy, probably a Prius or something, but our current car is falling to bits, have never owned a new car. Then would think about other stuff.

Hudders3 · 22/12/2024 20:59

A holiday so I can digest it all and plan the next steps!

LittleMissLateForWorkAgain · 22/12/2024 21:01

A house for ds and his gf.
House for dd and her gf.
Modest place for me with a driveway hopefully with no neighbours and Miles from anywhere.
Go part time at work.
Pay off debts.
A trip away for Christmas with snow and
Nobody around.
Maybe I could take my cats as I d have money for their travel too.

rommymummy · 22/12/2024 21:01

All the expensive stuff for a home sensory room, afford more childcare.

Time40 · 22/12/2024 21:02

I'd order about forty pairs of jeans ... maybe if I bought that many at least one pair would actually fit.

TheYeaSayer · 22/12/2024 21:02

House in my favourite spot in the Lake District, 10 golden retrievers, boat for DH, houses for all my DC, and an expensive haircut!

TheYearOfSmallThings · 22/12/2024 21:07

A house that doesn't need one single thing doing to it. Everything from top to bottom in perfect working order.

MrsSethGecko · 22/12/2024 21:10

A house, preferably on Princelet Street, London.
A car.

MintSpiesAtTheReddy · 22/12/2024 21:11

A diamond tennis bracelet.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 22/12/2024 21:14

The best security system possible. Panic room. Body guard. 😆

Honestly, 7 million is TOO much money. I would give a lot of it away to family and swear them to secrecy.

To the person who said they'd buy private health insurance. WHY?!?!!? 😂 You could just pay for your health care.

Manchesterbythesea · 22/12/2024 21:17

Cars! Flash cars for me, Dh and ds20.
Houses for the kids.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 22/12/2024 21:23

distinctpossibility · 22/12/2024 20:09

Pay off mortgage

2 new (well, new ish) cars

Disneyworld

Panic about spending the rest. To be honest I'd love to just win about £50k. 90% of the joy and excitement but none of the stress, feeling I needed to overhaul my whole life etc.

50k is not anywhere near lifechanging these days sadly, so the stress would come at watching it dwindle quickly over a couple of years. Unless you invested most of it and left it, and just spent a small amount on a very nice holiday or deocrating your house.

mrsdolittle · 22/12/2024 21:26

A house
A flat each for DS and DD
Give up work
Get a puppy Smile

CurlyhairedAssassin · 22/12/2024 21:28

7 million in a basic savings account paying 4.00 would give you over 23k before tax. A MONTH. Just in interest. I don't know how you'd even begin to spend that kind of money each month. The fact that you'd still have all that capital left blows my mind.

Beaverbridge · 22/12/2024 21:29

First class ticket to NYC. Book into The Plaza. Whilst there I'd get builders decoraters into house, get it completely gutted to top spec. Garden landscaped.

I'd also book a stylist to help me choose clothing. Pay off daughters mortgage.
Give a sizeable donation to the local hospice.

MsAdoraBelleDearheartVonLipwig · 22/12/2024 21:30

A house for my sister in law. My dh’s fuckwit brother left her and her young dcs and now continually pesters her to sell the roof from over her children’s heads to give him his share of the house. Fucking arsehole.

JustCuttinAboot · 22/12/2024 21:31

I’d pay off my kids mortgages and cars.

Then some holidays

Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride · 22/12/2024 21:32

New house with room for a music room/library/craft room. Do this house up, give to son 2, give other kids enough for a house or whatever. New teeth for me and dh. Take dogs on road trip around Europe. Then off to Australia for a holiday.

DelilahBucket · 22/12/2024 21:34

A beautiful jumper and hot water bottle I saw in White Stuff today while looking at lovely things I can't afford. DH would get the jumper he wanted in Superdry and DS the leather jacket he is saving up for.

marginallyawake · 22/12/2024 21:37

A stamp for the envelope containing my resignation. Followed by a holiday.
