Say about £7mil?

My first purchase of luxury, that I would be able to do immediately, would be some gorgeous Chanel sunglasses. .

Then a parajumpers coat.

Then new teeth.

Then the farm house etc.

It's my favourite maladaptive daydream.

A car that doesn't freeze on the inside.

This as well!!!

indecisivewoman81 · 22/12/2024 20:09

A house
Pay off all my mums debt and get her a bungalow near to me
Buy a horse for DD who has been riding since she was tiny
Take whole family on holiday
Persuade DH to go part time so he wouldn't be so stressed

distinctpossibility · 22/12/2024 20:09

Pay off mortgage

2 new (well, new ish) cars

Disneyworld

Panic about spending the rest. To be honest I'd love to just win about £50k. 90% of the joy and excitement but none of the stress, feeling I needed to overhaul my whole life etc.

Sunnyside4 · 22/12/2024 20:10

Immediately, a really nice meal out. Next considerations would be a dream holiday and biding our time for a much nicer house in our immediate area.

ThirdStorm · 22/12/2024 20:10

Buy my sibling a house, boost my parents pension and retire.

Aussierose2 · 22/12/2024 20:10

Something nice for my Husband maybe a car he's always wanted. It would feel amazing to give him a little spoiling ☺️

cariadlet · 22/12/2024 20:10

House for dd.

Nothing I'd want to buy for myself but I would be handing in my notice at work as soon as the money was safely in my bank.

Hiddle1976 · 22/12/2024 20:11

A house

UndeniablyGenX · 22/12/2024 20:12

20 Benson & Hedges.

Christmassydecs · 22/12/2024 20:15

I’d first give a million to each of my 2 adult children and set aside 500k for each of my 4 grandchildren. I currently need to downsize as I’m struggling to heat and afford ongoing maintenance costs on my house. I’d buy a nice bungalow and would buy the knee replacement I need but not likely to see for at least another year.

SallyWD · 22/12/2024 20:16

I love my house but if I had money I'd spend about 60k on it. Also some nice holidays. In terms of stuff, I can't think of anything I really want. I'm not into designer clothes and handbags or fancy cars. I might buy a few pieces of antique jewellery and some nice paintings.

EmmaMaria · 22/12/2024 20:22

A solicitor to write an iron clad will ensuring nothing went to my grasping brother and sister (I have one of those now, but it's largely irrelevant as I won't have anything left to leave them).

SwordToFlamethrower · 22/12/2024 20:34

World tour for 6 months to decompress and decide what to do next.

CoubousAndTourmalet · 22/12/2024 20:35

A house with no close neighbours and a big garden for the dogs.
If I won enough I'd open a bookshop.
And I'd give a lot to charity because we don't have a big family to share a win with.
I'd also find a good osteopath who could treat us at home because we both have back problems.

EdithStourton · 22/12/2024 20:38

A house with a large acreage, including woodland.

But realistically that would take a while, so in the meantime I'd be off to find myself the smart pure wool coat that I've promised myself for years.

JustGreyTiger · 22/12/2024 20:39

The rest of our house, then I’d let it and buy a bigger better one for us.

Then I’d look at school fees.

Then I’d look at house renovation.

A fancy greenhouse.

A woodland.

Decent car.

Pension.

Teeth.

nothing much…

BlackChunkyBoots · 22/12/2024 20:43

Three bed house for me, two bed for grown up DD. I'd see if the EA can do a twofer deal for me, cos I'm still a CF looking for a bargain.

Other things? Driving lessons and a car. A never-ending railway holiday of Europe. I'd enrol to study at uni (just for my own enjoyment) and buy DD a better camera, a Leica, because fook me they are pricy.

DemonicCaveMaggot · 22/12/2024 20:43

I would give £1M to each of my DC.

I'd pay off my neighbour's mortgage.
I'd give the church the money they need to finish retrofitting including expanding the ringing chamber to fit more ringers in.

I'd buy the local Lloyds bank branch in our town that is in the most beautiful building and start a craft shop in there that also sells stuff local people have made, and turn the top floor into affordable flats to be rented out.

NeedthatFridayfeeling · 22/12/2024 20:43

Private health and dental
I can't drive so I'd sign up for one of those intensive courses and buy a car
Pay off the mortgage
Offer my husband a new car
Book more holidays
Do something for mum &stepdad / dad & stepmum / brother and his family / brother in law and his family
Send my fantastic friends on holiday.
Find an account to stick the rest in, not that I'd know where to start
Go part time at work

Letterasaurus · 22/12/2024 20:47

If I had £7M:
Leave work immediately.
Buy my daughter a house and give her a big chunk of money so she never had to work full-time again & could afford to have one or two children and not have to pay anyone else to look after them.
Pay off my sister's debts and give her a big chunk of money so she could stop working immediately as well, buy a decent car and have some lovely hols.
Take advice on investment so my daughter, my sis and my ex (we're still friends) and I could get maximum benefit from whatever was left.

VacuumPacked · 22/12/2024 20:48

a chestnut mare, maybe Irish,

NeedthatFridayfeeling · 22/12/2024 20:48

Oh and get the bits in the kitchen changed that bug me and would stay in a hotel until it was, not big jobs but i hate mess.
Donate to my daughters school, they are stars and I'd like to support more
Local animal/children charities - find out what they need and sort it plus pay any bills.

rainbowsparkle28 · 22/12/2024 20:49

House.
New car.
New teeth.
Trip around the world.

Not much then 🤷🏼‍♀️😅

BondStreet · 22/12/2024 20:50

Pay mortgage off Andy family and friends mortgages.

Get a financial adviser and invest a chunk in low risk investments.

New kitchen and have the garden landscaped.
