Recently me and one of my brothers was chatting while playing grand theft auto online together and at some point, he talked about his wife that asked him if he is happy being married to her and he gave an honest answer.

He said he is happy in general wether he is married or not. He is happy with or without her and that is true.

Before getting married, he is been in several relationships and he always told me that he never cried over any girls and was always indifferent whenever his relationships would end and he always moved on very quickly and continue living his life as if nothing happened.

When he told his wife that, he didn't give me much details but he said she was basically offended.

Never ask certain questions to your spouse if you don't want the answer.

3 . Youaren't paid to be actively hostile and generate a bad working atmosphere for everyone else, (Or agree only to engage in civilities with The Men in the Office)

I'm not being actively hostile. I just want to be left out of the F1/makeup/telly/next-foreign-holiday chat.

The Men

You know I mentioned football as one of the things I wanted to be left out of the chat about? That might tell you that it's not just The Women I don't want to chit-chat with...

NiftyTraybake · 14/12/2024 18:33

Yeah, but would you still love me if I was a worm?

Depends. Are you out there prepping the soil for me to plant my potatoes in this spring?

Doing what I can, man, I'm doing what I can.

A man once told me that a great many men he knew were only in relationships because of the sex. That if there was some way of getting regular sex without paying for it, whilst remaining single, they'd do that instead. He said they see relationships as the price they pay for getting what they want.

Men can get regular sex without being in a relationship or paying. All they need to do is be charming, funny, good-looking, fit, have a good job, be good in bed, and have a great reputation with their many female friends.

What they want is to be boring, grumpy, misanthropic, not work out, lazy and still get laid. For that you need a GF with low self esteem.

@MrsTerryPratchett nailed it.

Whereas I think that's a little unkind.

LetGoLetThem1234 · 14/12/2024 20:46

@TriesNotToBeCynical but true.

TriesNotToBeCynical · 14/12/2024 21:40

@LetGoLetThem1234 I was thinking it unkind to the hypothetical GF, but I suppose one must sometimes be cruel to be kind.

Catsmere · 14/12/2024 22:22

@TriesNotToBeCynical thank you for clarifying - I thought you meant unkind to men as a class and had to refrain from replying!

If it's only your family who has your back OP (absolute bollocks btw) then what about the two parents involved in all families -who had a relationship to start that family? Like....your brother...and his wife....?

I suspect you're two brothers who think 'bros before hoes' is a witty motto to live by.

In some cultures 'family' isn't two parents, it's more like a whole village-full of people all related.

@Crucible wouldn't surprise me.

Yup. Sadly, men like this are rare and have a queue...

You do realise how much you're going to enrage the incels with this analysis?

You do realise how much you're going to enrage the incels with this analysis?

Let's analyse your list of desirable male features:

  1. Charming: this is a set of culturally-defined behavioural choices that involve thinking of other people like humans, not sex objects. Incels could tick this box by thinking of women as people and treating us as such. Before anyone says "I'm autistic, I have no chance to be charming", you do with autistic women, so think of the women at the boardgame cafe as people instead of circling us like hungry sharks.
  2. funny: there are youtube videos that explain how humour works and how to craft jokes. Punch up, not down, because bullying isn't a good look.
  3. good-looking: a large part of this is about grooming and style choices. David Beckham would be a turn-off if he hadn't showered in days, had a bad haircut, and had Cheeto crumbs all down his grease-stained joggers. Try growing your sideburns to halfway down your ear or more, like David Tennant does. Sideburns frame your face and emphasis your cheekbones.
  4. fit: you don't have to look like The Rock, but you can get to a gym a couple of times per week. Doing planks every day is free and will make a big difference to how you look.
  5. have a good job: I'll concede that this isn't as under a man's control as the other items because sometimes there just aren't the jobs out there. However, a good job doesn't have to be corporate. Self-employment in a trade will also impress the ladies.
  6. be good in bed: this is about thinking of the woman as a person even when you are actually fucking her. Attend to her pleasure and keep in mind that it will take her longer to get warmed up and longer to orgasm, so be patient.
  7. have a great reputation with their many female friends: again, think of us as people. Women tend to need an emotional connection, human-to-human, before sex and treating us like people cultivates that. We usually think of men as people before we think of having sex with them.
Basically, most of the desirable features can be improved upon at-will without much expenditure. Underpinning several is thinking of women as fellow humans and that, I know for a fact, is where 100% of incels won't want to improve.
